Question about the Endings

I've finished the game with all the different endings and noticed that the only ones that seemed to address the Red Strain at all were the 2 endings from that DLC. The Wicked Isle piece of Oberon seemed like it could be dealt with by causing the cave to collapse, but nothing obvious seemed to be available to resolve the Red Strain containment breach short of just not playing the DLC. EDIT: My main question is if there is a way to resolve the Red Strain DLC and be able to choose an ending from the base game or the Wicked Isle DLC?

Also, does the poison from the Abbott's head or Dr. Holder satisfy each other's endings or do you need to use their specific poison to choose said ending?

The Omega Order

Arrived today and I’m starting it tonight - it’ll be interesting to see what’s going on outside of the Quarantine Zone (this is set in York!).

Red Strain DLC main story won't start

Like the title says really. I'm in Staffel Crag, been wondering around for a while, keep going back to the station but no announcement over the loud speakers. Any ideas?

Need some combat tips please

Im liking the game the exploring is fun.

But the controls feel off like to much dead zone and to fast at the same time.

I have tinkered with the settings its just ok now serviceable. Wish it was tight and responsive..

Any settings for controls to make it tighter..on ps5 pro if that matters.

Also the combat is okish but lacking

It feels like skyrim but also my god slow as fuck like its some dark souls game.

Its not hard it just feels bad in general.

Do I get any skills later to make it more fluid and quicker?

Yes I know weapons have speeds and to kick to stager.

Its just basicly I feel like I need to play it like dark souls because all the movements take ages to land ect.

Is that just how it is?

And then it isnt that satisying like its like skyrim no weight to it and they just drop

I dunno maybe I need to adjust my expectations.

It seems combat is a back seat in this game and its all about just exploring which i expected rebellion to land the combat part ffs these guys should know combat right..

On the plus side the game seems huge..lots of place to get lost down rabbit holes in.

But I also feel like whats the point you cant pick up anything your always maxed on crafting mats and inventory.

Is there more drop off points later? Or holding expansion.

Looting a place feels bad when I have to leave 90 percent on the ground.

Yes I know its survival you go light.

It still feels bad and worthless to even do some areas leaving it all behind.

Overall this game has some great things going, but it also need to figure out its identity and then polish.

Because there are alot of great but frustrating things here.

Its basicly a perfect 7 rating game mid down the middle with peaks of brilliance held back by its own weight.

End rant, sorry.

This game just confounds me for some of its choices

I could go on but for every good thing there is a bad.

TLDR

Any tips to make combat more satisfying or settings for controls please.

Question about current game state-enemy spawn rate

The complete edition is currently on sale which is really tempting to purchase. I played the game a bit on release and again maybe a year or so ago. I recall people having issues with enemy respawn rates and such. Was that ever addressed so that they aren't popping back up so frequently when you re-enter an area?
