[SPOILER] Theory about the scientist
Flagged for spoilers just in case.
Finished the game today and absolutely loved it!
Outlandish theory but what if the Doctor was the scientist at the beginning? Obviously it doesn’t sound like any Doctors we know, but regeneration works in mysterious ways.
I’d like to imagine that he was working on a way to dispose of Oberon, and was led to the bunker and it collapsed (he got stabbed by debris). Then, when he went walking to the wing you’re in he saw you for the first time (we know he’s a little aloof sometimes, it would make sense that he didn’t check every room thoroughly).
I’d also like to think that he was helping from the sidelines somehow in some capacity while we were doing our thing (but not enough to overstep).
The thing that sparked this is seeing the TARDIS in Skethermoor during the ending of the Protocol storyline. We know the Doctor likes to see endings play out, so it would make sense that he’d check on us and make sure we left safely.
Again, just a complete ’what if’ scenario but it’s interesting to imagine! Does anyone have any ideas similar?
