Does anyone help felons get housing?

I pay 3 grand a month to stay in a hotel. Apartment locaters are a joke they never help. I make well enough money between my wife and I and I keep getting turned down because of my past mistake.

In search of lease takeover September - April

Hello, I recently accepted a job in NYC and am looking for someone to takeover my lease at my current apartment in the northwest hills. It’s 2 beds 2 baths, 1100 sq ft, pet friendly, washer and dryer, community pool and gym and is $2,250 a month. I’m targeting for someone to be able to take it over in September. I can share a video of when I first moved in and if needed share pics of its current state with what furniture I have left.

Edit: It comes with 2 parking spots

Wanna be our Roommate? 2111 Whitestone Dr

howdy folks! We (Katie, Bella, & Jason) are looking for a 4th roommate for our sweet home in South Austin. (2111 Whitestone Dr.) As soon as September 1st (or really August 23rd when our old roommate, who will be missed, will be moving out)

We've got a lovely front patio/porch swing, sick treeful backyard and garden, and an extra living room we've made into a music and art room. The garage has a home rockwall, a lil gym/workshop and a more than functional washer and dryer. We also have a 5th roommate, FRAN, she's a TUXEDO cat, so she's a classy bitch, but she don't really help much with home chores.

rent for ya is only $590/month not including utilities (around $100-$130 for wifi, electricity, gas, trash). kinda insane deal (we asked for a discount when we both became teachers so ur kinda welcome ). Your room (and mine) are the 2 smaller rooms in the house and you'll also be sharing a bathroom with me (Jason) and Bella. I got that Sam's club membership so i got our TP in bulk.

A lil about us, I'm a 6/7th grade science teacher (SIX SEVENNN, i had to) who likes to MAKE THINGS, Katie is a sweet 2nd grade teacher, slackliner, and artist, and finally our bike enthusiast Bella works for the city creating sick environmental maps. We're a chill house, not real rowdy, but we love hosting homey dinners and the occassionally fire spinning, bonfire, backyard birthday party.

SO if U are a home hunting HUMAN who is LGBT friendly, adventerous, and likes to keep Austin weird yet kind, then pls hit me up for a chat about any questions/inqueries you've got.

austin highrise apartments reviews

question about highrise downtown apartments

hi,

i have been looking for decent highrise apartments for weeks, and everything just seems such a pain. I am working with a realtor but I want to get thoughts of people who currently live or have lived at these apartments.

some context: 31M, working in tech, lived in dallas and chicago and moving to austin. i work from home and leave apartment only for gym or on weekends.

what I want ideally: 1000+ sqft, 2 bedroom or 1 bedroom with a den, ideally 15th floor or above, floor to ceiling windows are a huge plus, and a downtown facing unit preferably. i would rarely use apartment gym but a clubhouse/sky lounge is good. ideally either in downtown or rainey st. budget is $4.5-4.6k in total.

i have looked at most of the apartments: windsor on the lake, hanover (the staff is weirdly rude or has the attitude of "we dont want you"), atx tower, quincy, ashton, northshore, whitley, 700 river, 70rainey, and a few more.

what i definitely realized is that not every place is perfect and every place has it's own shortcoming or extraordinarily out of range ($6k+).

what are some reviews or thoughts about these:

\- quincy atx

\- 700 river

\- 70 rainey

\- whitley

\- windsor on the lake

any small reviews would work as i couldnt find a lot on google/reddit

Recs for moving to Austin!

Hey everyone. I’m from the north and looking into moving to the Austin area. I’m an aspiring pilot with a PPL + IR and would like to continue my flight training down here. I’ve researched a bit on Round Rock, Georgetown, and Pflugerville. Something affordable and nice, no more than $1000 for rent (which I understand could be tricky). Any recommendations on areas to live in, stay away from, etc.
And if there are any pilots in here, what flight schools do you recommend? Also, how’s the market for low time pilot jobs + jobs in general in the Austin area?
Thank you in advance!

Management companies locally owned?

Looking for housing in Austin and wondering what management companies might be locally owned. I had a bad experience with Greystar and wondering if there are any complexes around town that are owned locally by smaller companies that maybe can be trusted more than the large corporate management companies.

Budget ~$1500

Lease Takeover - North Austin / Research Park

Hi! I’m looking for someone to take over my 1B/1B lease at The Edition in North Austin, starting ideally around late September / early October.

  • Required apartment fees: ~$68/month (amenity fee, trash/valet trash, pest control, utility admin fee)

Looking for a Roomate in luxury high rise (The Bowen) $1600

Hey! I'm 22, recently relocated to Austin from San Diego, and work in property management. I've got a great deal on rent (discount through my job) at a luxury high-rise in The Domain, and I'm looking for someone to split it 50/50.

A bit about me: I'm outgoing, active, and love staying busy. You'll usually find me out for a run, on the golf course, or playing pickleball. Big sports guy too — always down to catch a game and grab a beer after.

Looking for someone clean, respectful, and easygoing who wants to enjoy everything The Domain has to offer — restaurants, bars, shopping, all walking distance. Whether you're into an active lifestyle like me or just want a solid roommate to split a great place with, let's chat! Have videos for serious inqury

Best place to get Austin themed art?

I’m decorating a property to list on Airbnb and need help finding Austin themed art! I’ve Googled, checked Etsy, and searched FB marketplace and I feel like the options are pretty bland.

I’m looking for color!!! Specifically darker jewel tones, Bauhaus or MCM style, and something that highlights the unique things about Austin.

Decor style for the property is mid-century modern/quirky Austin vibe and I want unique Austin themed art.

Trying to keep the budget under $500 per art piece, but open to spending more for the right art.

Bonus points if I can support a local artist!!

Single female with 2 cats needing an affordable home!

Howdy y’all! I’m getting a job at UT soon, and will be relocating from San Antonio to the Austin area. I’m not too familiar with the Austin area, so I could use some helpful info on affordable 1 bed 1 bath apartments. I’m hoping to keep rent under $1000, be less than 30 minutes travel from campus, and allow 2 well-behaved cats. I also have my own furniture, so it doesn’t need to be furnished. I would LOVE an in-unit washer & dryer, but even on-site would suffice. I don’t need anything fancy, just somewhere safe and well-received by locals. Thank you!!

Looking....

I'm looking for a 1-2 bedroom apartment/condo/dwelling in either south or east Austin. I want to be near community and activities. Yes, there are apartment complexes and I'm in touch, but looking for something different. I'm a teacher, stable, and bringing a dog.
