Best dog food

I have a year and 7 month blue heeler, he currently eats Fromm dog food but I feel as if he doesn’t like it and there is something better out there. Any recommendations will be appreciated not worried about the money just want the best for him.

I miss him terribly

Two weeks since I left my husband. I kept my 16 year old terrier and he’s got the heeler that he brought into the marriage. I’m absolutely gutted. Guess it’s a sign when you miss the dog more than the guy.

Milo just turned six!🎂

how is everyone feeling about their babies getting older🥲 He still acts like he’s 2 so it’s easy to forget his age, but man he is almost a senior!! it feels like he was just a baby a few months ago😭

Disco - king of smiles

It’s been 3 years since we brought this pint sized bundle of joy home from the shelter and literally every day of my life has been better since!

Fairly certain this dog was a human in a past life. He came from the streets of Bakersfield and we are just so blessed to give him the best biking, hiking, beach dog life of his dreams.

23 pounds of perfection (we think he’s cattle dog + rat terrier) and love of my life. I honestly don’t know how I’ll ever have another pet after this.

Whats your favorite Disco mood?

At almost 14, Charlie is still the best boi and has been consistently the best part of my life for the last 12 or so years... And luckily he still can't read.

New puppy! Help!!

Hi everyone! So my husband and I are picking up this beautiful little lady in early July. She’s only about 2-3 weeks old, and we were told she was a heeler born to two heeler parents. She was the smallest of the litter and I chose her bc she lowkey looks like a piece of lint or dust you found in the back of a drawer you haven’t opened in months.
I’ve had dogs my whole life, but never had a cattle dog, and I’m kinda nervous. I would love tips and tricks, name ideas, and stories of your babies. I know they are extremely active, and I stay at home because frankly, finding a job has been impossible. I’ve been constantly applying for 6 months and nothing so I have more than plenty of free time for her.
Edit: thank you to everyone who’s commented and who will comment on the future! I’ll be sure to post my baby when she’s home🥰 you’ve all been so lovely and helpful, I appreciate every single one of you!!!

Solution to chill is obscure mid 2000’s platformer games

Doing a playthrough of psychonauts again. He’s not a fan, guess the 480p graphics put him in a sleepy mood.

ASPCA poison control hotline

TIL that there is a dedicated poison control phone number for dogs by the ASPCA (US only). The number is 1 (888) 426-4435.

After Ruby here ate half of my dark chocolate granola breakfast bar from the bottom of my purse today, I called the emergency vet who was on the fence if we needed to come in. They gave me the above number, and I was able to talk to a vet who did an ingredient review and determined we could treat this at home. Apparently they help with all sorts of plant, medication, and other poison questions.

It did cost me $100 to call, but that’s still half the price of the emergency visit. I called my normal vet who advised that they would have just called the same poison control number to get more details.

If it was a worse case, the poison control center would have worked with my local vet to send all the details on the chemicals she ingested to make a treatment plan immediately.

Anyway, something to keep in mind if you’re not close to an emergency vet!

Missing my lil’ fuzzy potato while I am in the hospital

Here she is getting progressively more annoyed by posing in front of a bubble machine for me 🤭 Have you ever been separated from your ACD for reasons other than travel?
