Facebook outranks Yelp in every age category for automotive services

The gist of the article is that consumers rely on Google, Facebook, and 3rd party sites more than Yelp when selecting an automotive service provider.

White Board

We're re-implementing our dry erase workflow board in the shop and I'm looking for good ideas. Send me a pic of yours! What do you think is the most important? We have 5-6 techs, open 5 days a week. Not much of the quick-lube type work, but some fleet vehicles. Thanks!

How do you handle missed calls at your auto shop?

Hey everyone,

I'm researching how auto repair shops deal with missed calls.

When you're busy working on a car and can't answer the phone, what happens to that customer?

Do you usually:

  • Call them back later?
  • Have someone else answer?
  • Send them a text?
  • Use some kind of automated system?
  • Just lose the lead sometimes?

I'm curious how big of a problem missed calls actually are for shop owners and what you currently do about them.

Thanks!
