fucking Wan man, imagine using the classic bending skill, likes cloud walking with airbending and other stuff, really like the character and all art style that he and his episode have, so i would love to see he in game too, and plus, he is an Avatar after all so the skills possibilities still pretty high, much as Korra or Aang

I want the Blue Spirit as a character, not as a Zuko reskin A CHARACTER

I think that a dual wield swordsman with no bending at all would make for an interesting addition to the cast, I know we have a few non bender reps but non of them have such a unique fighting style as Zuko when he dons this garb (also I think a zuko alone alt outfit would work)

I can live with LoK only getting a quarter of the roster…

But two of the slots being Korra herself and the other being Zaheer is just so weird 😭

Aang gets his whole squad but Korra left Bolin, Mako, Asami, Tenzin, and Lin at home :(

I hope we get some better representation in dlc, but let’s be real, it’s prolly gonna be all OG avatar chars unless they find a way to make Amon work. He’s one of the few Korra characters I can see demanding a premium price.

I just wanted Mako, is that too much to ask 🥺

Name a character who deserves to be in the game more than the character shown below and fail miserably.

Kuvira, using only her bending abilities and without any hacks, at least in their first confrontation, completely beat Korra.

Now tell me, what character managed to do that without some kind of overpowered bending or hack from who-knows-where... Because I can't remember any!

My best and most beautiful Kuvira deserves to be in the game to show off all her beauty.

How should Chi-blocking be implemented?

So obviously there are two very prominent characters that utilize Chi-Blocking, Ty Lee and Amon. Since it’s extremely likely one if not both will be in the game, what would be the best way to implement it?

My suggestion would be that it’s a debuff that’s inflicted by certain moves, mainly supers and High risk special moves. The debuff would temporarily lock the opponent out of their flow moves, drastically hindering their mobility.

Question about inputs

Im kind of new to fighting games.

I have an somewhat easy time playing games like Mortal Kombat, Injustice and 2XKO.

I have had a really hard time playing games like Guilty Gear Strive due to its harder inputs. Some attacks I couldn’t even execute like the Z motions on the d-pad and stuff like that.

So my question is, will I have a hard time playing this game ?

Who will you likely main and why?

Hey all, been seeing bits and pieces pop up and the game starting to look quite exciting to try out. I love the avatar universe a ton and always wanted to be a bender so this should be a blast.

Who are you planning to main and why? Currently im not sure on who i would pick based on cartoon vibes and my usual fighting game style.

Right now im looking at Zuko, Zaheer or Kyoshi. Maybe Katara depending on how she feels. Pure from a lore/universe pov i would look at Zuko (calculated fire bending + blades esp after his redemption arc) or Zaheer (man's got aura)

My style tends to be movement and poke heavy being a bit more calculating until i find an opening where i can go hard on the offensive. Its less projectile focused, but with solid hotboxes so still closer to a zoner than straight rushdown. I feel like that will exclude air/earth benders as air will naturally be more tricky and earth is more grounded, but im not sure if Aang/Toph also play like that.

Other mains for comparison: Marth/Palu/Aegis in smash games, Alisa/Clive in tekken, Lucario and some Sceptile in pokken tournament.

Which Costume is Uncle Iroh gonna wear in the game?

I think there is no doubt that Uncle Iroh is gonna be dlc for the game. But the question for me is, which version is it gonna be? It seems like they always choose the most iconic and most shown outfits for the character. But I am unsure about Iroh. Personally, I would go with his Tea Shop outfit, it looks the most unique.

What do you hope Kyoshi’s like in the game?

Kyoshi is basically the only character in the roster so far who doesn’t have much animated material to pull from (even though she has two novels dedicated to her).

What are you hoping she’ll be like in the game? I mean in terms of her personality, animations, voice lines, bending style, specific moves, or little recognizable habits/references from the show clips and the Kyoshi novels. What do you hope they include?

Unaloq would be a super interesting DLC character

I was just looking at the lineup again and I'm assuming there will be Air and Earth additions before adding more Water or Fire characters, but Unaloq would just be an excellent member of the cast!

One of the best villains ever, deep ties to the story that make waves into the future of the Avatar universe. Plus he would be the only male water bender in the lineup.

But mainly he would be great because his character has a lot of justification for a highly interesting play style. Spiritually attuned water bending plus >!Dark Avatar !< stuff could be adapted in many interesting ways.

Fighting game to prep

Basically as the title says, I’m looking for a fighting to play that is similar to avatar. I have tekken 8, SF6, Strive, Invincible vs, and I’m even considering under night if it isn’t dead. I have console and pc. Any recommendations?

My only critique about this game: Lack of Defense

Im watching the devs have 1v1's on their AvatarFighters Youtube channel and from what I see the gameplay fluidity keeps getting better and better, the $30 price deal is definitely a steal.

However, I can't help but notice that they are trading 40-70% damage combos a bit too easy from just a single opening where the receiving player cant do anything but take it. There are no combo breakers. I see a future where high level players will end up finishing their opponent within 2 combos and wont make it as scrambly/fun as the game initially looks.

Now I am not a fighting game dev expert and I could very well be wrong, but I do find the Flow State evasions to be super crispy and one of my main attractions about this game, So my suggestion would be to implement some type of combo breaker that takes either a certain amount of your Chi orbs or half of your flow bar? tell me what you think

I'm buying the game either way but this is just main critique. Anyways thanks .

Imagining the Amon and Equalists

Posting to get this out of my head but what I think about them as a playable fighter is that Amon just stands there menacingly.

Moving him around will have his chi blocks will move along with him at a normal fighters pace. Let's just say he's always accompanied by two chi-blockers.

He uses his blood bending sense as his flow to dodge the incoming attacks accordingly while commanding his chi-blockers to attack for him. That's what makes him unique. He can still attack and flow dodge simultaneously.

So in a sense Amon is a puppet master and his two chi-blockers are the tag-team archetype.

His first support is his lieutenant. He doesn't stand in the background. He actually follows Amon behind allowing him to substitute one of the chi-blocker attack to use electricity into combo.

When councilman tarrlock is chosen as support. His presence allows Amon to blood bend his opponents away or pull them into chi blocker combos. Of course he isn't revealed to be a traitor so its animation is very discreetly or maybe have tarrlock be the one blood bending as he was exposed.

When his father is selected as the final support this makes Amon lose his mask and all his equalists support losing his tag team mechanic but replaced with his blood bending freezing opponents still
