She is the hangcard of Minty 4 Poem of Feathers series! so pretty!! I did changed her hairstyle to make it less curly.

So I’m thinking of using some ufdoll doll/bodies for my future 70-75cm cosplay bjds to save up cost (£500 max except Zack and Reno).

Also I need some recommendations for a 182 bjd (I feel bad about him and want to pamper him and treat him like a prince like my others)

However before I buy them i would like to be educated on what the sturdiest is like on ufdolls as the only abs things I own are figures. Also i would like to know how easily can the stain so I’m prepared.

Another thing, is it possible to pair a resin bjd on a ufdoll body?

Lastly I don’t care that they are abs or pvc as to me plastic is plastic, a doll is a doll all I care about is if it’s legit, sturdy and brings my favourite characters to life.

Also I do not appreciate having people try and only make me buy resin ones as this is my collection not yours (I’ve had to deal with not only a racist trying to make me buy a 20 year old doll because gintama came out in 2003/2006 but also I have had to deal with someone who what felt like they were trying to persuade me to buy on resin ones which didn’t work cuz I ended up ignoring them)

I haven't redressed my dolls in months, but finally managed to redress a doll with the occasion.

I found a deal for a 2ndhand Desers dress since it was missing the petticoat and had some detached pins/charms that needed regluing, but not bad for $20!

hi, i’ve been working on my own bjd for the past few months. so far i’ve made 4 test bodies, and this one is the closest to the result i want.

my problem with this one is that her hip joints are a bit wobbly when she stands straight, and she can’t hold her legs when i bend them with her torso straight. so the knee bents fine, but not the hip. but if i bend the legs with her torso slightly forward- they’re steady and don’t fall back. how can i improve that? maybe the strings are too loose?

i also don’t like how her knee looks right now. i would like it to be closed and for the knee joint to not be visible when her legs are straight, but without having a huge gap when they’re bent. i’ve tried looking up how to sculpt it like the last picture but couldn’t find anything.

and lastly i would like to know if she looks alright at this stage. does she fit the “standards” of bjd? there’s no body blushing yet and i still need to sand her a little, but overall do you guys think she looks ok? do you think she could be improved in any way? i would appreciate any advice, thank you!

I've noticed that most sizes have a certain age attached to them which makes sense for practicality (1/6 dolls having bigger eyes and a more youthful appearance is easier to sculpt and 1/3 dolls with one would probably make them heavier plus custom outfits). Are there any 1/3 dolls that have the style of 1/6?

This is gonna be odd but does Gintoki have European features?

I’m making a bjd (ball jointed doll) of Gintoki, as he is my favourite character and I found doll for him (it can always be changed) and it’s perfect for my budget.

however someone told me that it wouldn’t work for gin because it has “kpop” features and gin has European features (if I’m being honest i thought gin was Japanese). now I’m being told to only stick to bjds that are from 2006 which i swear is difficult and expensive to find because they get discontinued, cuz they’re very old and my budget is £500 max and the doll I found was £118 (from ufdoll so it’s legit).

Also it’s only one person that said it and it was in a bjd facebook group

Does anyone know where i can find a similar quality model like this for home printing?

Hi! I bought the Minty Poem of Feather Cecilia because she's mostly very cute but ome thing that bothers me is how high up her mouth is from her chin. (picture not mine, it just really highlights how high her mouth is so I used it)

I'm planning on erasing just the mouth and moving it down, but I have a couple of questions because it's my first time:

1. Can I erase just the mouth?

2. Are watercolor pencils sufficient for the job?

3. What sealant should I use and should I localize the application to just the mouth? Do I need to prime the doll with another layer of sealant?

My first resin doll! I’m used to vinyl doll but I do have to say I fell in love with the sculpt of resin dolls recently She’s from Myoudoll her model name is Zuzana🩵

🌿🪻🪷 my Yummysweetsdolls girl 💕. I really appreciate the easy part-swapping of these dolls. This is the Lilly body with a Lotus faceplate and Orchid leaves on her head.

After a year long hunt with several false starts, I finally have my babies home. They're both Dollfamily-H, Ji Nuo on the 1/4 slim boy body holding Qing Lang 1/4. I'm so unbelievably happy they're home. I was so worried about buyer's remorse but they're perfect, everything I hoped for and more. It's unreal handling a 1/4 body for the first time and seeing how much detail goes into a doll this size. DF-H's design and engineering is amazing too. Sometimes I just carry Ji Nuo around with me while I do chores and chat to him.

I wanted to take a high quality photo of the two of them before their faceups and Ji Nuo's body blushing. This is the last time they'll ever look like this. I'm glad I was able to capture a tender moment, the characters I've started to form around them love each other very much.

I really love the Blythe clothes look like these. Anyone know where I can purchase a similar style for 1/4 dolls? I'm lookimg for more muted cozy styles. Like oversized sweaters, pleated skirts, tights.

Ive been looking at these Zack Event blind box bjds and I love the proportions they have and Im planning to turn the Tattoo artist one into a custom.

I already know I want to dye the body and head a new color but im not sure about the hair, as I want it to be green with black stripes. Would it be good to use acrylic paint for both the green base and black stripes, or should I dye it green first?

Also the hair the original doll comes with is gray and Im wondering if I can dye or paint the green on the gray and if itll comes out bright, or if I should buy a 2nd blank hair set like in the 2nd image

So; I’m planning on making Gintoki and Hijikata BJDS to my cosplay doll collection . (i literally just need the heads all sorted bodies can be bought another time) which includes cloud, Zack, Reno, Grimmjow, Gintoki, Hijikata and 182(fogland).

Btw Zack, Reno and Grimmjow all have their heads sorted out it’s just the other three need heads. then I can start to plan when to buy them and how much needs saving up.

Lastly my expectations for how accurate they need to be is based off the moonlit wonder fullset rbcg cloud with aolingshi 2.0 70cm body, which I already have also my budget is £500 for each doll EXCEPT Zack and Reno as they are grail dolls.

Gintoki: possibly the 331 uf doll 75cm with body
Hijikata: possibly cane 75 from dollsphere

But do you think these heads are decent for these characters or should I change them

Update on the gin and Hijikata dolls. What do people think about 326 from ufdoll as Gintoki as he has more rounded cheeks
