Subframe notch
Subframe work has been complete! Now all that needs to be done is get the bushings knocked out and painted. Hopefully it can be thrown in soon if the bushings don’t give me a hard time.

Having a great with the car. Finally had the honor of driving through Mt. Haruna myself.
Wanted to get these for my 2023 BRZ. It’s currently on STI pink springs, and I’ll need to get new tires as well. Which tire size would be best to give it a flush look without any rubbing? I’d prefer not to stretch the tires either.
I read 235's are ideal but what about sidewall?
Just admiring the wifes ride. Recently finished pulling the oil pan to look for rtv in the pickup tube, it was about 50% clogged. So i also went poking around in the upper oil pan and timing cover area breaking off large chunks of silicone over use that was begining to harden and break away. Following that i installed the polly engine mounts, the Cusco auto trans mount stiffener kit, and previously had done the diff bushings. I personally hate drive train slop. if you cant tell, lol. Also threw on some Hella horns that are loud af. Currently on stock clapped out suspension, fully sound deadend, cobb titanium cat back, and kansei astro 18x8.5+35, just clipped 50k miles.
Walked out of the dealer at 34.6k, 11 miles (when I picked it up), and a lower payment from the 4Runner. I call that a win. 🤙🏼
Anyone else notice difficulty shifting from 4th to 5th MT sometimes it gets stuck shifting in sometimes it doesnt im not sure if its a skill issue or not. I seen the new brz/86 is going to have a improvement for this gear change but they cite shifting down from 5th to 4th.
2026 BRZ limited automatic .
Instead of 2.9%, they can do 1.9% 48 months. And waived the $599 protection package also. Which I don’t see it list anywhere on the window sticker . Do you guys think that I can negotiate to $36-37k OTD? Am I being ambitious o it’s possible? I can wait til Labor Day ,would that help with lower the price? Thank you for all the inputs !! CHATGPT suggests that if it automatic , it might not sell as well as the manual. I would think that helps in term of negotiating ??
Hey BRZ owners,
Full disclosure: I’m affiliated with PinkSlips.
Almost 5 months ago, I shared an early version of this project here.
I wanted to come back and thank everyone who checked it out, signed up, asked questions, or left feedback. Those early conversations helped me understand what owners actually wanted from a proper build page.
The idea is still simple: every car gets one permanent page where the owner can document everything in one place, including:
Since that first post, the platform has grown to 1,900+ documented vehicles, including more than 60 BRZs. Across the platform, that now represents $70M+ in documented build value.
Here are 4 incredible BRZ builds currently documented:
If you’ve got a BRZ, whether it’s stock, a daily, a stance build, a weekend project, or a dedicated track car, you can create your own build page and keep everything organized instead of having it scattered across different apps, folders, posts, and old threads.
I’d genuinely love more feedback from BRZ owners. If there’s anything you would want documented, compared, or added specifically for BRZ builds, I’d love to hear it.
Thanks again to everyone who supported the project early on. ❤️
Found a great deal on the GR performance exhaust. It sounds amazing in person compared to stock, honestly how the car should have come from the factory. The GR logo is on the black tips so doesn’t stand out as much.
Also debadged the "SUBARU" trunk text, felt way too busy on the car!
Added a couple STI parts this year (flexible v bars and the side skirt extensions to complete the lip kit) but the most important addition being the Xforce Varex 3.0 inch valves catback.
Been taking the car out a bit more to car events/shows/meets the last 2 months, which has hatched a possible ambitious plan to enter her in my first ever car show as a participant at Subiefest Midwest in October. Have a couple more cosmetics I’d like to try getting, but the challenging part is cleaning up/refinishing and painting a set of wheels my cousin is lending me until I get my own, potentially next year.
Here’s the Apex VS-5RS 17x8.5 wheels in Motorsport Gold w/ Falken Azenis RT615K+ 225/45/17 on stock tS suspension and alignment and no spacers. Will be installing Verus camber plates and dialing in -2.5° and 0 toe in the front.
Came out to this damage on my 2025 TS. Someone back in with a tire and left.
Thankfully it’s only the front bumper, and not the fender panel. Looks like an unpainted bumper cover is about $250, plus paint. Considering how deep a few spots are, is it even worth trying to fix it before getting a new bumper cover?
Some neat BRZ/GR86 aero analysis from ya boy Premier Aerodynamics
3D printed the GR Cup style intake inc 3D printed delete plug for airbox. Removed both resonators, (the intake and the airbox). High flow grimmspeed dry filter and the, silicone post-MAF inlet.
Very distinctive powerful intake whoosh like a cold air does. Mechanical sounding agreesive suction/intake when you open the throttle. Very aggro in sport mode and when downshifting with a rev match.
As expected a hard mechanical resonation returned and grows from 3250-4500rpm ish then fades quickly to engine noise. I find it quite enjoyable personally but my exhaust is also very aggressive.
