Looking for board game enthusiasts

Hey everyone, we are a small group of friends who live in Baku and are actively looking for people who don’t just like - but truly enjoy playing board games, and we’re not talking about Monopoly, Uno or Mafia. As fun as they can be, we kinda outgrew them and have many other fun games to play, but no people to play them with. If you are into good board or even card games, reply to this thread or even DM me so we can get in touch.

P.S Just so you have the general idea, the games we currently have are: Exploding Kittens, Dixit, Settlers of Catan, Sequence, Rummy (Rummikub), Flip 7, Flip 7 Vengeance mode and we are actively looking for new games to enjoy and explore, so if you guys have new or other games that we have never tried - you are welcome to introduce us to it.

Where to find new friends in Baku?

Hello everyone! I am planning to visit Baku again sometime next year. I grew up there, but I don't have any friends left since I moved to Europe, and they also left Baku. Do you know any places where you can just make some friends?

So, what are my hobbies? I like tennis (I used to play at the Baku Tennis Academy in the past), talking about philosophical stuff, and IT. I listen to any kind of music and don't have a specific genre, and I am also very interested in human psychology. Just DM me if you are also into making a friend, even if you are not in Baku ;) I speak Russian and also fairly good Azeri

15-hour layover in Baku — is this itinerary realistic for a first-timer?

Hey everyone! I have around a 15-hour transit in Baku and I’m hoping to make the most of it instead of just sitting at the airport.

I’ll be landing at around 6 AM, and my rough plan right now is:

  • Yanar Dag — first stop
  • Ateshgah Fire Temple — around 2–3 hours
  • Heydar Aliyev Centre — around 2–3 hours
  • Then heading back to the airport.

Since this is my first time in Azerbaijan, I’m not really sure how realistic this itinerary is considering travel time, immigration, getting around, etc.

Would you guys recommend changing the order or dropping something to have a more relaxed trip? Also, is there anything that I absolutely shouldn’t miss during a 15-hour layover?

Would really appreciate any tips, suggestions, or even a better itinerary from people who’ve done something similar. Be kind please 😭😂

Thanks!
