2 years+ with the Aquascaphe

Still impressed by the Baltic Aquascaphe after more than 2 years ownership.

The Miyota 9039 is a nice movement, it sweeps really nicely and I have come to not care about the accuracy, especially with brothers and sisters in the watch box.

Here it is on its summer Rally Tropic strap, which smells vanilla 👌

Have a nice summer Baltic fans !

Panda 🐼 Love: Tricompax (LE👑)

Watches and whiskey are alike in that aging makes them perfect. This one is from their first batch of 300 numbered editions, almost four years old, and looks even better now than when new. 😍

What's your favorite Baltic so far?

Baltic MR01 kind of day. What's accompanying you into the weekend?

Took my grey Baltic out for the past few days and I still love it!! Sad my black and grey strap disintegrated.

A moment of silence for the two grey and black straps.

I'll be half glass full if not for that I won't be scrambling to find something that fits. To my amazement I found something that fits so perfectly.

Anyw just a mini geek text on Baltic.

Love

  1. I love the design and dimensions
  2. the finish is pretty good for that price point
  3. I love the strap dimensions and comfort

Hate

  1. symmetry always gets to me and that awkward 12 bugs me a lot at the start. Thankfully it's kinda washed out grey and white
  2. the strap material is clearly trash it broke in less then 1.5yrs

1 year in with the Aquascaphe

I still love it, wear it everyday, tried a few different straps but this has been the one for the couple of months. Also it matches with one of my cats.

MR01 impressions after two weeks

The way this watch plays with the light is truly amazing. It looks just a little different every time I look at it, but is still legible every time.

Because of this, it is a watch that’s best enjoyed in the daylight. No lume makes it a difficult all-rounder, but that’s not what you’re getting anyways.

I’ve already gone through a tube of polywatch just to keep it looking new. I feel like I’m holding a newborn baby every time I put it on. Every time I feel a bump on it, my heart stops thinking that I finally cracked the crystal. I knew that this would be the experience, but the mental load is more than I expected, and makes the watch less fun to wear all the time. Day by day I’m slowly getting over it.

I know it’s only been two weeks, but I’m extremely pleased with the movement. It’s a joy to wind, and keeps bang on time with a good power reserve. Is also very quiet - I can only hear it tick if the room is dead quiet and the watch is right next to my head.

Overall, very happy with this thing. It brings me a lot of joy, and I would absolutely recommend to someone looking for a dress watch to wear from time to time.

Still head over heals

Still absolutely love this watch. I'm slowly getting over the lack of water resistance and just enjoying wearing it in my leisure time around the house mostly. Haven't had many chances to wear it for formal occasions, but this will definitely be my go to for such events. The movement is still a knockout gorgeous looker and the time keeping is nearly perfect.
