Consistency in performance makes you a better team. Bangladesh should be as focused on second test as they were in the first.

So, since we have win the match against Australia in Darwin I have been seeing overjoyed journalist, ex-players, media saying, it's fine to lose the 2nd test. We do not care.

This is a wrong mindset to have, we need to focus on being consistent with our performances. We had such miracle wins before, in the 2022 Newzeland test, ODI series win in SA, Asia cup final in dubai. However, we couldn't continue keep moving the momentum. That same cycle will repeat if we do not focus on being consistent on performance after one major win.

Let's not forget, we have capable players to shine in the second test as well, so why we are being careless? I'm not saying, we must need to win the second test but we need to show Good performance. A generational opportunity to banglawash Australia in Australia. It can open more doors to unlock series in SENA countries.

Let us think of the previous win as past and focus on the present. Think shanto and his co also understand it. hopefully they will be locked in with the mindset of writing history.

Do you think this is our chance to make it to the final of the WTC?

I think now all the traditionally strong teams of test cricket are quite weak.

India isn't very good at the moment i think, they have some new players coming into the team and some positions are not settled yet. For example, in number 3 there are players are being debuted but then getting replaced because they are not performing well.

Similarly Australia batting is also not that good, after the retirement of Warner and Khawaja they didn't find any good openers yet.

New Zealand is not like the 2019-21 new Zealand when they won the wtc. Also, Kane Williamson retired recently.

England's bazzball era ended and now we don't know what will happen to them. Stokes retired.

Sri lanka team was very good in tests but after the retirement of Mathews and Karunaratne their batting has become kinda weak.

Pakistan team is really bad at the moment. At present, I think South Africa team is quite strong. But other teams aren't very good. Is this our golden chance to make it to the final?

I know our team isn't very good either and this is probably just a wet dream, but still 😭

Love the non-chalant celebrations by the team.

YES! WE DID IT. But i love the most that, we didn't do any over the top celebrations. It's a slap to these bias comms folks, and some aussie players like smith and starc who lost their shit in the game. Shadman and Mominul didn't even celebrate. Way to go!

day 4 will decide the fate, maybe we will never come this close to beat aus in australia. Gotta locked in by BD bowlers. Shameless me rooting for them after all the disappointment.

Bangladesh vs Australia test day 2 - how do you feel?

As per AI, Bangladesh has 52% chances of winning this, Australia has 36% chance and 11% chance of this match to be draw. I think Bangladesh chances will go past about 60%. If we can manage to put at least 50 more runs and declare innings after 200 runs lead.

Day 3 likely to stay good batting friendly pitch. Should not be much problem for us to score more than 50 runs if we can negotiate first 10 early overs. our captain needs to use heavy roller.

Tamim played an excellent knock, so does Shanto but Mominul knock is the tone setter for this lead I believe. He didn't let us collapse after losing the first cricket, put up almost 96 at first day stump without any foul play, strongly handled first session. His continuous strike rotating helped Tanzid to remain cool. Definitely missed out playing the only crap shot in his entire innings.

My prediction:

If Bangladesh can get 200 runs lead, I expect Aussies to give us a 150-170 runs target. It will be really difficult to score that in the fifth day but I believe we will not let this opportunity go easily.
