112 Scholarships for Displaced Artsakh Armenian Students — Lorik Fund Impact Report

Since the forced displacement of Armenians from Artsakh in 2023, hundreds of students have been forced to continue their education while rebuilding their lives from nothing in Armenia.

Through the Aznavour Saghyan Scholarship Fund, Lorik Humanitarian Fund has now:

• Awarded 112 scholarships
• Supported 99 students
• Reached students across 27 institutions
• Helped fund 31 different fields of study
• Invested 21,559,950 AMD (~$59,000 USD)

Students are studying medicine, engineering, law, education, IT, finance, and more.

The scholarship fund honors Aznavour Saghyan, the Mayor of Martuni, Artsakh, who was killed defending his city during the Azerbaijani attack on September 19, 2023.

For many displaced families, education is one of the few remaining paths toward stability and rebuilding a future.

Got permanently banned for complaining about the Mods...

My favorite part is "Went to lie about mods actions on another sub." What exactly did I lie about? I love how anything they don't like is "untrue" in their view.

Moderators Message: Election Period Moderation

We are down to the last weeks of the election period and we are seeing a lot of activity around this event. A lot of healthy sharing of news and opinions. Also some problematic attacks and activity. We wanted to post a reminder about some usual rules and one election period special rule.

Please remember our usual rules about civility towards each other and remember it is also not okay to insult voter bases. For example you can hate on QP or ARF, but not on QP voters or Dashnak voters.

Special election period rule: For a couple of reasons we are not going to allow "hot take" posts during this period. You can share your hot takes in the comments all you like, but if you post them, they will be removed. We are doing this because 1) We have had too many already and 2) We have seen that too many people asking "What do you think of party X" are actually not interested in what people think and are trying to manipulate people.

Along those lines, no misinformation, obviously.

And finally, as always do not discuss moderation in the sub. If there is a problem, you can simultaneously report the comment/post and you can message the mods here: https://www.reddit.com/message/compose/?to=/r/armenia - There is a TON of activity in the sub so please give us a moment, we are not able to keep up sometimes.

AS AN EXCEPTION to the no talking about moderation in the sub, you may ask about it in the comments of this post here.

That's about it. Let's keep this the best place to have a civil and intelligent discussion about Armenia.

Thanks!

Welcome to the r/Armenia BAN CLUB

At this point half the world has been banned from the r/Armenia subreddit.

What comment, post or opinion got YOU banned?

Bonus points if you include:
• screenshots
• mute messages
• your ban speedrun time
• your final words before exile

Let's have a laugh together at the absurdity. Don't forget to flair up!

«Վայ դրա գլուխը թաղեմ»

This is what I said under the post in r/Armenia where Nikol was playing drums and my comment got taken down and I got shadow banned. Gotta love freedom of speech am I right?

I want to let everyone know. He spams the sub and does genocide whataboutism. I complained to the mods but they banned me and kept him.

He's Turkish and doesn't even flair.
