Worst fake beard I’ve ever seen on screen

Just started watching Banshee season 4 after starting it last week. I’m trying to finish it all before The Boys Season 5 Episode 8 releases so I can binge the last season.

I saw that Hood’s beard looked a little off with the hairs protruding too much above the skin however I didn’t give it much thought because there weren’t really any close ups of him yet, and when there was he was in low light so you couldn’t see much anyway. About half way into episode 1 I noticed that his beard was firstly a fake one, and secondly, it has some of the worst detailing on a lace beard I’ve ever seen.

You can see where they haven’t cut the lace where there isn’t hair so it’s completely visible in the shot. There has been some shoddy fake hair throughout the whole series with the lace being seen through the piece but this definitely takes the cake, it’s so bad!

I finished the first season in one go

A few months ago, when "The Sopranos" ended, I was left wanting a crime series, but I did want something that wasn't recent. That's when I saw the character of Lucas Hood in a advertising poster and one trailer, superbly portrayed by Antony Starr. I was amazed at how well everything flowed; the dialogue had more weight than in other series, there were some killer lines that stuck with me, and other quieter, humorous dialogues that helped stem the tide of tension.

Honestly, it's been years since I've been hooked on a series so quickly. The pilot episode is the best I've seen in years; it perfectly encapsulates the tone and the most striking approach, on par with a bigger production like Jason Bourne.

I started the second season, and I'm not going to stop until I finish it. I can literally understand Hood and Anastasia's bad decisions; the consequences were inevitable (at several points I was yelling at the screen, "I knew it! You shouldn't have done that!"). Hood had a pretty rough time, but Anastasia is also getting her share of karma for leaving her boyfriend behind. The supporting cast complements them so fantastically, and it's hard not to get attached to them all. If any of them die in the future, I think I'm going to be devastated.
