Golden cleric awards vibe

Ohhh, just listened after all the hubbub yesterday.

Just made me feel kinda sad for the lad and I experienced some major second hand cringe. I don't think we have a proper word for that in English...I believe the Germans have: Fremdscham.

Anyway, just an opinion innt, I hope the podcast can return to its former glories, he's losing me lately, but I don't wanna give up on the chap.

Also, someone needs to tell him about websites that get around paywalls, coz subbing three times to the Irish Indo to read your bad reviews and then unsubscribing immediately is a waste of money.

Job stars in East of Eden!

Job (Hoob Lee) plays Lee in East of Eden, which has just been released on Netflix.

Oh, I'm so happy to see him back on my screen...and the Lee character is such an important role.

It's great so far, I'm on Ep 3, pretty faithful to the book....which was written by the absolute genius that was John Steinbeck.

Best strings for shoegaze, postrock/postmetal

For years now, I've been using 10s when playing, pretty much since I started playing electric guitar. And I play a good bit in DADGAD, drop D and drop C. Now, because they're tuned down from the standard tuning, I was led to believe that 'stronger' gauge strings are better, but the really thicker gauges are for even lower tunings?

I'll add that I don't really play lead guitar, mostly chords and...I think they're called voicings? Kind of like power chords but with add9s, or sus'es, or open strings etc....I'm sure you understand what I' trying to say. When I do venture up the neck, it's really just harmonizing, so no flashy stuff going on with me, the lead guitarist can handle all that.

Anyway, should I go for heavier gauges? Or are 10s good enough...I mean, better the devil you know, eh?
