Do you think they would have made it as a couple if Summer had moved in with Matt when he originally asked?
But also, do you think Summer resisted moving in without the commitment because she knew Matt would want them to become physically intimate or that she would give in if she moved in?
Matt didn't overly pressure Summer, but it was clear he wanted to go to the next level during thier stay at the hotel,(ghost episode), and asking her to move in to the boat house later meant more intimate living arrangements. I feel like she knew it was an expectation if she moved in.
My brain was clearly bored, but I suddenly noticed the casting preference has shifted from ocean eye tones to chocolate browns, plus dark brown eyebrows.
The casting team's unconscious selections or a modernising shift that even the blondes are really darker haired/eyed?
Perhaps the bluest of all the eyes remain in the return casting though (final pic)...
Mitch befriends Tanner, an abused nine-year old boy who tries out for the junior lifeguards in order to get away from his ill-tempered, alcoholic, divorced father, Blake. But Mitch feels helpless in helping Tanner when everyone tells Mitch not to get involved in the boy's troubled home life and to mind his own business. But things turn chaotic when the bus that Mitch, Jessie and several junior lifeguards, including Tanner, are riding in falls off a bridge and lands in 20 feet of water. Meanwhile, Alex tries out for a spot on the TV game show 'Jeopardy', and finally wins one, but which changes when she saves the life of the host Alex Trebek himself. Also, Jessie tries to get J.D.'s attention by stealing his laundry and bringing it over to his place.
Now WTF. The kid Tanner is clearly abused by his dad, even has bruises. Mitch and Alex witness it and all she can say is “what do you want to do Mitch?” after seeing it. She even lays out their options and they do nothing. She does this multiple times with Mitch. They literally have a protocol for this situation and don’t follow it. They finally get a social worker to show up and the rv he was living in is gone. In the end the kid writes Mitch a letter and disappears. We all know what most likely happens next. Tanner is murdered by his abusive father and his body is disposed of. Mitch and Alex should have at the very least been fired if not put in jail for failing to report the incident. Their stupidity cost Tanner his life.
Fuck your Mitch & Alex. RIP Tanner, you sweet angel.
