It finally clicked for me!

So...

(Sorry for any gramma and tipos Englisch isnt my First language)

I didnt poste my art in like 6 Years...

I never hat the feeling i was extrodanary at it. I Was good but never that good. I tried many different Mediums but nothing felt ever right. I even tried Digital art for over 3 year but it never clicked with me. I liked it but somthing Was always of and i often didnt finish any drawings. The last years i drew pretty rearly. My work Was demanding and the creativity in me Was Just gone. I Dindnt had the energy to Do it and if i did than i never finishd anything because half way theough i realised my skills werend high enough to finish it how i liked (thats my perfectionism for u all XD)

But a year ago i bought a Watercolour palled and i think it finally clickt for me. At First i tried drawing people (becaus that was what i always did) but the anatomie frustrated me quickly so i stoped until recently. Rigt now im on vacation and i have finally the time to draw, so i tried something new. (picture 1)

I drew some lilipads and stones and made an complete illustration. The lilipads and kois are glued on the stones and it makes a great 3D effect. I know it dosnt Look perfekt but i feld good making it so i made some more with the same technic. (Picture 2+3)

For the First time in my life i have the feeling i have found my kind of art. Something i made. Something that was my idear and for the First time in YEARS i have fun at drawing again.

I hope you all enjoy my art and if you have any idears what i could draw next or how i could improve im all ears!

And for anyone who might need to hear this:

Someday you will finde you medium that makes you happy and it dosent matter if you are good at it or not! Just enjoy it!

This turned out WAY better than I expected!!!

Hi Everyone!

Third time drawing on ProCreate and this time from my Daily Draw book that gives me things to draw at random I got “A cactus” so I went for it.

When I started this I half expected this to come out looking not bad but not great but thankfully it turned out so much better than I was expecting. I know it’s not perfect, there things I definitely could’ve done better but I’m really happy with it and this time I did SO MANY new things that I came out really feeing like I learnt a lot today, which is a great feeling.

Will start another drawing tomorrow and I cannot wait!

Any advice/criticism is welcomed 😁

Tips? Observations?

Last time I drew which was not considered doodling, I was 16. My husband bought me a tablet and I started drawing my fav character. What do you notice about my art style? Any constructive criticism? First time drawing on a tablet!

My First art(A proper one to say)

Second picture I will complete soon. It took 30 mins to just correctly outline. So my hand hurt.

I spent 16 consecutive hours drawing this one. What do you think of it? (The reference image is an AI-generated image, so the drawing may look AI-generated but it's not.)

More details?

Hey! I have been doing a couple of portraits focusing on the values and proportions, but still feel like my drawings aren’t detailed properly. Any tips?
That’s the last drawing i made and its reference photo.

Still need A LOT more practice

Hi Everyone, so this is my second drawing ever on ProCreate and oh boy this was TOUGH!

My first drawing was challenging for sure specially since I don’t have any prior knowledge on how digital art works BUT with some of the (very few) drawing skills I have I kind of got something I liked. This one on the other hand…

Quick recap from my last post I have a book that gives me random things to draw, last time was a “robot playing golf” and this time it was “my favourite dessert” which I am sure by now you are wondering WTH did I draw.

I was trying to go for a apple pie with an ice cream ball on top 😀 tbh I did like the ice cream ball I drew since it was my first time I think it came out quite well, now, the actual pie was DIFFICULT specially the colouring, shading, blending etc. also the filling of the apple pie was really difficult.

All in all I believe I need to keep optimistic and be happy that I am learning something new and willing to accept I’m not where I want to be yet and it will take time and a lot of work which I am excited since this has been both challenging and REALLY fun!

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to post this since it’s not the best but I think I will post all my drawing regardless on how they come out so I can have some sort of collection that I can look back on and see how much I have improved.

As always all criticism is welcomed! 🫶
