I work with horses and a client of mine reached out to me for help in regards to a GSD/Mal mix that is 1 year old and needs urgent placement or he will be euthanized. It’s owned by a young family friend of hers, i guess the owner is in college and is having to support himself and the dog and pay for their apartment while also paying for school and so he leaves the dog home from morning to midnight alone in the apartment and recently he has been having a hard time financially being able to continue supporting the dog, and the dog being young and a working breed alone in a one bedroom apt has also been having a tough time too, he tried to call rescued and shelters and the shelters advised him to just euthanize the dog as they are all at max capacity. He unfortunately is planning to take that route if he can’t get him placed soon as he can’t afford to keep him. He is fixed, vaccinated, i’m told he is housebroken, good with dogs but should be properly introduced, said to be good with kids but nearby adult recommended, owner said he was very well behaved when they lived in a house but now the dog is inside alone in a small apartment by himself from morning to midnight and being a 1 year old working dog breed he has started to pick up some habits like chewing, again it’s said he did not do this before he was confined alone in an apartment.
edit- I will be helping out with keeping him during the day but i cannot!!! foster him unfortunately. i have a dutch shepherd i found on the street very recently with medical issues and rehabbing his broken leg post op and im already financially scraping by. Can anyone help? this dog will be euthanized if i cannot find placement even with me helping the owner out, i don’t have any say in it. He is a good smart dog, a quick learner and eager to work.
My malinois mix has been out of the shelter for 2 weeks. My girlfriend is away house sitting and she claimed her clothes hamper.
(Yeah she could be something else but mal mix is what makes the most sense imo. Not here to debate the dog breed just want to share the cuteness.)
It was over 100° and he couldn’t play with all his dog friends today so he ended up with indoor zoomies, training, and harassing his chihuahua sister.
Face attack for French Ring. This guy lives for the sport.
Just rescued him from Texas any advice? I think he is mostly shepard but not sure
Literally the first thing I see when I open my eyes! Velcro dog doesn't cover it.
an 8 month training journey with this boy!
Every morning after we get back from the park she likes to lay here with me and give 5 minutes of eye contact, zero blinks, full derp mode engaged. She's judging my life choices and I deserve it. 🤣
