Anyone know where I can get the tan magazines that are not as pricey as on the beretta website?? Thank you in advance!
Here's my 92X Centurion. I've lurked and ogled for quite some time, even occasionally interjected my own opinions. About time I contribute to the cause.
Eagle-eyed lurkers might notice I'm running the Meprolight without their RMSc adapter plate. It almost fits a 509T footprint without it. It's nearly identical. I had to slightly modify the inside flat face of the clamp jaw above the clamp groove so it would clamp down fully onto the 509T plate.
I prefer to do my own stunts, so I machined my RDO slide to accept the LTT parts. The fun one (and would have been much more worth the time just to mail it to LTT) was the extractor pin. Other than that, what's to worry - it's only metal on a VERY expensive slide to replace.
Me being me, threaded Centurion 92X barrels are ridiculously expensive compared to full size threaded barrels...so I got a new full size 92 barrel for a fraction of the cost, faced it off to length, crowned and threaded it, and attached my gorgeous new Volker comp.
What's next? I'm probably going to do something much like LTT's V6 ports in the barrel. I had the pleasure of shooting a ported/comped 2011 the other day, and I think that will be a nice addition here.
Other than that - this serves nicely as an all-around EDC/range toy/2-gun competition piece of gear. You'll see in the pics it's not a safe queen. It's got holster wear, dig marks from a weapon-mounted light clamp jaw (I carry without a light, but attach one for range purposes), and some general scuff marks from use.
More to follow on this one, and maybe I'll sneak into the AR15 sub and add some of my shenanigans over there too.
