Upgrading a AM4 or getting a Steam Machine?

Which do you think would be better option in this PC environment?

Upgrading would be buying a 9070 XT for $740, a 5600X3D for $170 and a SF850 for $180. Another issue would be getting a new SSD. As my boot drive is very small. Case would be a 15L SFF case. And I'd probably have to get a new cooler aswell. EDIT: I forgot the biggest expense which would be getting a new Monitor that can actually take advantage of the new power.

Or

Just getting a no toil Steam Machine and keep running at 1080P for $1,000-$1,400. And at the $1,400 it includes a 2Tb drive and the controller. Plus the system is tiny.

Considering the price of SSD's and Monitors. The Steam Machine is kinda tempting.

What are your thoughts? For those with older platforms looking to upgrade. Does the Steam machine offer better value in a smaller package?

EDIT: For those wondering. My current PC is a media PC I built years ago. It's a ASRock B450 Fatal1ty ITX/AC $79, AMD 3400G CPU $40, TeamGroup T-Force Xtreem DDR4 CL18 4000Mhz 8Gbx2 $69, No GPU, XPG 500GB NVMe Boot Drive $50, in a IN-Win Chopin Case $100 with a built in 150w PSU $0.

I don't game much. And the Last console I bought was a OG Fat Destiny white PS4 I bought new. But, I kinda still want something to play on and I have Zero Interest towards the PS5.

But, I am asking this question generally. Not just for my sake but others who are also in a similar situation of trying to decide to upgrade old hardware vs getting something complete like a Steam Machine. Because lets be real. Trying to build a currect platform is simply beyond allot of peoples means. Could I do it yeah, Do I really want to no. As any AM5 upgrade would be atleast another $700 on top. Plus, I'd lose my ITX format because Bundles are only ATX or mATX. And buying separate is insane right now. DDR5 + SSD + New Monitor = 💀

What is my BIOs Upgrade path from P5.20 3400G to AMD 5600X3D

So I have a ASRock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming ITX/AC motherboard running P5.20 with a 3400G APU. (I'm not actrually sure why I even updated to P5.20 when the 3400G recommends the P4.40. I think it was to enable TPM 2.0)

I want to update to be able to run the 5600X3D. What is the correct upgrade path?

Also, will I be able to still run the 3400G after updating? ASRock's website say the 5600X3D only needs P5.20? So wouldn't it just drop in and work? Which is weird a because I thought that the 3400G was Picasso and wasn't compatible with Vermeer.

But I still need to update to fix that new TPM vulnerability.

The newest BIOs for the B450 is P10.60

Very confused. I hate they way they word this stuff.

Also, I do not see any weekly thread for Bios descussion.

EDIT: Something else, being this is a X3D chip do I have to worry about those burn out issues on the Asrock Boards?

Which Samurai Pizza Cats you al getting Sub or Dub?

Kind sucks they aren't combined. The US Dub is hilarious but it would also be neat to see what it was acutally supposed to be.

5600X3d $229+9070 GRE Steel Legend $479 vs 5800X3d $299+9070XT Steel Legend $739

So I have two options right now.

One budget build at $708, the other all out at $1,038. A $330 difference in price

My Motherboard is a old ASRock B450ITX/AC Fatal1ty and my Ram is TeamGroup Xtreem 8Gb x2 4000Mhz CL16. I want to stay with a itx format.

I mainly just want to play Racing sims, Fighters, Shmups and maybe try Cyberpunk.

And again thank you all for the help. This is a big purchase for me. And I am getting far better information on here than by the store employees.

AMD 5600X3D $229 vs AMD 5800X3D $299 2026

I have a old ASRock B450itx/ac Fatal1ty with some TeamGroup T-Force Xtreem 8gbx2 4000mhz ram. That I want to upgrade it.

I went to MicroCenter ready to buy a 5800X3D. But than I saw they had a 5600X3D for $70 less.

I wanted to know if I should just get the 5800X3D or if the 5600X3D might be the better option for my system. I am mainly concerned about my VRM's.

I looked it up and the ASRock B450 Itx's VRM should be able to handle up to 150w. But the 5800X3D can get as high as 142W at peak load.

It looked like there was only a 4fps difference. But I also heard these 5600X3D's were just defective 5800X3D's not sure if that is true or not. But the fact they are only sold in store. Makes you wonder.

Now I know everyone will say upgrade to AM5. But I like ITX form factor. So bundles don't really offer anything. And buying a new motherboard and Ram will cost a additinal $700+ on top of the CPU cost.

AMD Radeon RX 7000 series vs 9000 Series

I am rather confused about comparing these two.

I have a AM4 Motherboard and am looking to upgrade my CPU and GPU. Which is a ASRock B450itx fatal1ty. With 2x8Gb of TeamGroup T-Force Xtreem DDR4 4000Mhz CL18 of memory.

I plan to buy a AMD 5800X3D CPU for it and am trying to figure out what GPU to get.

I noticed that the older 7900 XT and 7900 XTX are nearly $1,000 while the newer 9070 are only in the $500-$750 range.

Also, I noticed the new 9000 series doesn't seem to have any reference design models like the 7000 series did either. I know the Ref designs were the Base line but I gotta say these cards always looked like a more premium build quaility to me.

Can someone help figure these two lines out?

I just want something to play games on. Nothing very demanding just stuff like racing sims, fighters and shmups.

NCase M2 vs the Dan Case C4-SFX

These two cases seem to always draw to me them. I like that they are small around that 15L yet are compatible with tower air coolers.

It looks like the Ncases are out of stock in the US at the moment. Anyone know when they tend to restock their US supply? And I am not sure which one I prefer the Grater or Flat round. Plus it's really hard to tell how they would look in person between the Black and Grey/Silver colors.

The C4-SFX I have no idea what is going on with. Did it release? Did it not release? Were they working on a new version? Anyone know what is going on with it?

Should I upgrade or replace my PC?

I have a ASRock B450 ITX Fatality Motherboard, AMD 3400G Cpu, 8Gb x 2 T-Force Xtreem DDR4 4000Mhz Ram and a XPG 240Gb M.2 SSD.

It's in a In-Win Chopin case that has it's own PCU. I mainly used it for Media use. But wanna use a PC now to play games on.

Should I try to upgrade? Or do I need to do a full build?

I just wanna be able to play most games. Nothing flashy.

I figure I would atleast need a New case, PCU and GPU. And maybe a new CPU if need be.

What would you recommend? And what kind of GPU/CPU should I be looking at?

The most demanding games I would want to play would probably be Racing Sims Like the Ride series and MotoGp series. Otherwise, Fighters and Shmups would be my other games.

Tried posting in BuildaPC but all I got was downvoted and only a single reply.

Why aren't there more Centurion options?

Feels like Beretta has a Million 92 variants. Yet, only a handful of Centurions.

There are exactly three Centurions on Beretta's website. One of which I think might actually be discontinued as I never see the thing. Namely, the 92x Centurion. Which I think was replaced with the 92GTS Centurion. Than the last option is the M9A4 Centurion.

If you really want to split hairs than LTT has a Centurion... Scratch that just checked they no longer offer the Centurion option. And lastly the Wilson Combat 92G Centurion.

I really wish they did a Steel frame Centurion atleast. I'd love to see the new 94X as a Centurion.

I just don't understand why the Centurion keeps getting over looked. They already have so many full size 92's. And the Centurions are just balanced so well.

After 6 years of waiting, I finally had enough

No thanks to Bandai, I finally caught a break and found one of my "grail" kits I have been waiting years for P-Bandai to reprint. I have had this idea for a build in my mind for all these years. And all I needed were these four runners to make a MG X0.

I will be buying another MG Crossbone. Than electroplating the armor parts into a mirrored silver.

Why buy another crossbone you ask? Because than if the electroplating messes up it won't be on the expensive metallic injection plastic. But instead just easily replaceable regular plastic. And 90% of this kit is the exact same. So, I only needed these four runners for the Shotguns and Metallic red parts. Just to make it a X0.

I don't usally like to use the word Grail kit. Mainly because of just how overused it is. But considering just how fing long I have waited for the damn thing. I feel the word is warranted.

Wish me luck.

Is there anywhere to look through all xBox games games catalog via cover art?

I kinda want to get back to playing my og xbox. As it was a system I never really got to explore more of growing up with the very limited titles I had for it as a kid because I was more invested into PS at the time.

I just don't want to slog though endless text of titles I have no idea what they are. Atleast with seeing a cover I can get an idea of what kind of game it is. And if it looks interesting I can look more into it.

Sadly, I have all but given up on gaming recently. To the point I just have no enthusiasm for buying any of the modern consoles. So I figured I might start going back and looking for old games I might have missed out on.

I doubt I will ever get back my old gamer levels of ethusiasm for the hobby but it would still be nice to play something every now and than.

Follow up to : Bought a 2015 Huqvarna TC85 for my Nephew

So I am follwing up with my previous post which looks like it was Del.

I got some fresh gas 91 Oxy Free with a 40.1 Motorex Cross Power 2T Pre-mix. Bled the clutch, and put in a new plug NGK BR9ECMIX Iridium IX spark plug. And I did a Compression check which looks really healthly. Looks to be just below the 150Psi range.

I am trying to change the oil. But I am not trusting the oil level bolt. Nothing is coming out and I have put more than half a qt. I messured the old oil and it was at 450mL

I am worried the oil level bolt was attached to the Stock clutch cover. As I know they did do this I just don't know which years. And this one came with a Rekluse Clutch cover. Of which I also know allow for More oil. Meaning I need more than the normal .5L But I am afraid of over filling it.

I am using Castrol Power RS 4T 10w50. My thinking is it will not only protect the bike better but also tame it a bit for my Nephew.

I am also ordering some main seals aswell as a new chain and sprockets.

u/LeDelmo — 2 months ago

Just bought this 2014 TC85 worrried about crank seals

So I just bought this TC85 for my Nephew. It was running good and he was able to run around a bit with it. But I noticed a couple drips of oil coming out of the exhaust on the swingarm. I thought it might just be oil clearing out as the bike was transported on it's side. (I know, but it couldn't be helped.)

Anyways, I ran it and took a video after. And want to know what you all think. Right as I was recording. It started revving up than died. Started back up and revved up again and died. I checked the tank and it looks like it's low on fuel so I am hoping thats all it is. The bike was ran and warmed up before taking the video.

I need to order a chain and sprockets. Change the Trans fluid and bleed the clutch. But I want to make sure I am not putting too much money into it if the seals might be bad.

I hope I am just being paranoid. It's been a long time since I had a 2 stroke.

The clutch also doesn't fully disengage. And if the bike doesn't get a little bit of gas while shifting into first with the clutch pulled all the way on it dies. The engine also revs with the clutch in while going down hills. So I need some advice for fixing that. Also gotta figure out how to check the trans fluid with that rekluse clutch cover.

Hopfully, we weren't burned too bad. We paid $1,500

You can see it rev up and die at the end.

Looking at a Brutale 1090 but dealer stopped selling MV. Would it be worth getting?

So a Brutale 1090 Corsa is for sale here for a decent price.

But my MV dealer has stopped supporting MV. Would it still be worth picking up?

How available are parts like Air filters, Oil Filters, Shims, Sprockets etc. How difficult and frequent will it need Valve adjusting?

Is it worth getting?

Trying to decide between a MV Brutale 1078RR this Brutale 1090 Corsa. Or Aprilia Tuono V2 1000R Gen 2 or Aprilia Tuono V4 1100RR and the EBR/Buell 1190SX

Basically I want my next bike to be one of my old dream bikes.
