Finally joined the family
Just picked up this handsome boy on the “used” market! Not sure if the previous owner even took it out of the box!
Just like my 1911s it just feels natural in the hands and can’t wait to shoot it!
Don’t think I’d change anything but maybe the grips if I can find a nice set. Actually kinda surprised at the lack of options for grips compared to 1911s. If anyone has any recommendations I’m open.

500 years strong
A pair of my all time favorite Beretta’s. Both rocking mecgar 18 rd mags plus 4 for 22 rounds of freedom.
M9A1 - Beretta extended threaded barrel and Surefire X300u-b. Beretta steel trigger, oversized magazine release and D spring. Wilson Combat fluted guide rod and 12.5# recoil spring. LTT VZ thin grips. G conversion.
92 Brigadier Inox with LTT np3 kit and Novak rear plus Dawson precision fiber optic front sight. Went with the 14# hammer spring and stock recoil spring. Lok full checkered thin grips.

Happy 500th Birthday Beretta!
A day late, but Happy 500th birthday Beretta. The 92FS is without any second thought, my favorite handgun. Being born in the 80's and growing up in the 90's, it was the good guy gun in movies and on TV. I grew up learning to shoot on my dad's 92FS and a Ruger MKII.
As the M9, it was also the gun my dad carried for a bit as an Air Force SP, and that I later carried in the Army along with an M4A1. It was at my side for most of my deployments and then later a Glock 19. I've carried them in IWB, OWB, and drop leg holsters. I've carried them with stock grips and Hogue wrap around grips.
If I could only have one handgun, it would choose the 92FS. Also, some of the holsters I've used over the last 20 years.

New Beretta owner story
My dad recently gave me his Beretta. He took it out once, maybe twice, in the decade he owned it. So I thought it would be a good idea to get it checked out before taking it to a range after sitting for so long. So yesterday took it to get it checked out and the guy was looking at and was saying how it seemed like it was in fantastic shape and I should be completely fine to use it. Then he flipped the safety off and the hammer struck and all of a sudden the color leaves his body and he puts its down saying that it’s not safe to use and recommended a local shop with a gunsmith to get it looked at since that range/store didn’t have one. And admittedly I’m not the most experienced with guns so I took this pretty serious. Luckily the other shop was open so I went right over and explained what happened. Immediately everyone working in the shop starts cracking up. This is how I learned what a decocker was.

Anyone know of a good place to have her polished in San Antonio TX? From Eagle Pass and local guy had legal issues and my officers recommended not to go there. Been on the back burner for over a year now. Bout that time. Shoots like heaven.

Question on Beretta 92X Performance Magazine Catch
I'm looking to upgrade the mag catch for my Beretta 92FS. I wear large gloves. I can easily get my thumb over the stock mag release, but I can't press it down without changing my grip. For those with the 92X, are you able to press the mag release without changing your grip, or should I get a bigger mag release than this? I like the plain aesthetic of this one.
