Just picked up this handsome boy on the “used” market! Not sure if the previous owner even took it out of the box!
Just like my 1911s it just feels natural in the hands and can’t wait to shoot it!
Don’t think I’d change anything but maybe the grips if I can find a nice set. Actually kinda surprised at the lack of options for grips compared to 1911s. If anyone has any recommendations I’m open.
Frame finally came in this week! Slide is on order. This will be my first build and 4th 1911 (unless I buy another before it’s done) Pretty excited to get my hands into but until the slide gets here I’ll just be doing more research and shopping for parts. If anyone has any recommendations for parts besides the big guys like Nighthawk, Wilson Combat, EGW let me know.
Picked up #3 in my collection yesterday. TALO distributor edition Ruger SR1911 in 45.
Just had the furnace replaced and AC added. It’s nice and frosty on the first floor and basement but the second floor is a bit warmer (flat roof with no attic space). I’m assuming closing a few registers/ducts on the first floor would make a difference but is it worth the extra effort to put dampers in the ducts or do those register covers work almost as well?

Ordered one of these a few weeks ago and it finally came in! Came wait to take it to the range. Only took a few seconds to put my Mete SFT in it, still gonna mess around with some attachments but it works for now. Might use it for a bedside gun!
Any find the pinky baseplate like on the Elite SC? I’d really like the oem Canik ones but all I could find on their site was the +2s and +3s. Figured I’d ask her before reaching out to customer service.
Just picked up this bad boy today, 3rd Canik! Previous owner put on a Vortex Defender and a brass back strap.
Quick field strip and not even sure if the guy ever shot it.

Just pick up this TP9 Elite SC the other day! Second Canik so far, first was a Rival and thinking of grabbing another real soon to put into MCK conversion kit. The Osight SE just came in the mail and went on nice and easy. Testing it with just a dry fire laser and it didn’t need any adjustments out of the box. Can’t wait to get to the range!
