Never had a 44 mag or a 6+ inch barrel revolver. Figured I’d knock both of those off the list with this 629. I’ve shot plenty of 357 over the years, but I know 44 is going to be a different animal.

The stocks from factory are pretty thin and have an exposed back strap. I know it’ll be a handful regardless, but anyone have stocks they recommend to help? I love the wood look, but open to rubber grip options.

Took my new to me Ruger Security Six to the range for the first time today. Excellent shooting gun. Any recommendations for shorter wood boot grips?
