So exhausted by the card freaks that come into the store. So tired of being bullied and guilted bc they have no self control…
I love pokemon, I have since I was a kid. I love ripping packs it’s so fun, but the way these customers treat us sometimes bc of the limits the store sets in uncanny. I just wouldn’t dream of sticking my children on an employee for some fucking cardboard. Do you guys have any experience with this? How do you handle it?

Ok I have a few questions about this job I got hired on and today was my first day and my manager told me he will never see me face to face and he will be fully remote. I seriously don't even know what I'm doing and I just sat in a room for 5 hours doing nothing and got a store tour. I got ego checked almost imminently by the other rep specialist in the store. I worked at Meijer curbside for a few years and I liked it and I just left my big corporate marketing job to focus on college and thought this would be easier on me while I'm in college till may. What is a day to day like and what am I even supposed to be doing cause my manager just told me to shadow people that seem to have zero interest in me. Plus do you work the cash register my manager said I had to shadow the cash register for a week and run it which I even asked in the interview and he said no I wouldn't ever be behind the register.

Does anyone else have problems of Employees Families Chilling in the Hub? (Breakroom) I have this one co worker. It seems like every time I'm working Their family is chilling in the Breakroom with them on their Lunches & Breaks, I know this makes me sound like a giant asshole but. The ONE time in my 18 years of. Working at my store, I had my sister in the break room for 10 minutes, and I got chewed out, and I understand. Privacy & all that. Employees put their Personal belongings in there. But. This Employee Has their family in the break room....Not a peep. Lol I don't know why I'm letting it bother me but. I do feel better getting it off my chest.

I'm 100% Certain They can get away with it because. They are a top performer & a Favorite.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get the salesmaker/att discount. they were suppose to send an email within ten days but it’s been a month. my manager doesn’t know what to do. i meet all the qualifications for it. I even filled out the IMO thing. the only thing my coworker could think of is maybe my best buy email can’t get external emails? up to any ideas of what it could be or help

I HATE IT SO MUCH UP HERE AT FRONTEND ALWAYS SOMETHING ELSE GOING ON CODE 1 HERE ORDER PICKUP THERE. My coworkers might genuinely be the bane of my existence whenever I ask them to help with a code one they look at me like I asked them walk a gold fish on the moon I had a situation where I had so many customers they started wrapping into some of the headphone displays and purely of of sight I knew I had like 25 people in line and it was me and my host were were getting things done so I obviously call out a code 1 and there are 8 I kid you not EIGHT people over there staring at me so I repeat myself and literally NOT A SINGLE ONE CAME OVER. It got to the point where I was so frustrated I started angry crying yes a 6ft bulky man started tearing up because I had customers yelling at me but thankfully THE GOATS in warehouse showed up at helped me

(also my boss and two of the managers was over there with the floor employees not helping)

How were everyone’s Pokémon TCG sales??? Already got cussed out? Already got complaints about people cutting line? Already got a customer calling corporate?

I Wanna hear everyone’s experience today?

So… about a week ago I applied for a seasonal retail associate job. Then I get a 5-min phone call two days ago asking me why I chose Best Buy and that I had an interview today with the manager. She mentioned if I was interested in the geek squad and I said yes. Few questions about availability but that’s it.

Now I get there and the manager looks very chill but it looked like he didn’t even know he had an interview with me or for what I had applied. So after 15min of him mainly looking at my CV and asking the only question “why did you choose Best Buy" he asks if I would like to work in Geek Squad. I say yes, again… he gets up and tells me he’s going to look if there’s a spot for me… he comes back after 2min and instantly tells me I’m hired. I’m kinda in shock so questions don’t really come out and I just stay there like what??.…of course I agree lol.

So here I am kinda confused and happy… is this normal? Does this happen? I didn’t even apply for the geek squad but boom I’m hired in it for the season.
I feel like that was way too fast… guess he really liked me. Now they told me they would send a job offer that would be auto-accepted and that more info would be sent in a month or less. Don’t I need to send my info first? How does this work?
Also important note… this is like my first official job EVER… and my cv is pretty empty. I have a DEC in computer science and some experience with building pcs but that’s it.
Mainly asking because, after some research, the way they did that is absolutely nothing like what I’m seeing people recounting their experiences online… anyways hope I like it there

So I have just been promoted to experience supervisor at my store and before, I was a shift lead. When I was a shift lead, leadership would be like all casual with me and blah blah blah but now the DAY I’m promoted they start treating me like shit, everything I do is supposedly wrong now, I suck at everything I do, etc. just wondering if anyone else had this experience.

I'm working weekends for a third party staffing company at Best Buy. There are full time versions of my job, but those are hired directly through Best Buy for some reason.

I was thinking of applying for a full time position when my availability opens up in a few months, but does anybody know if best buy will hire people who currently work at their store through a third party staffing company? (2020 companies in my case).
