Trying to wrangle my yard. It's a mess and the heat isn't helping. So I sat down in the shade and got trapped outside by this loaf right in front of my door.

We see quite a few crows in our garden, but I've never seen a loafer before

he was practicing his display and decided he just didn't want to stand up anymore. didn't even bother un-fluffing.

Saw a common wood pigeon loafing today and ended up finding this sub, thought to post here.

That fence is so thin, dove is doing a great balancing act! The other formed a loaf right in the feeder making everyone else wait.

He was severely injured by what we assume was a bird of prey, looked completely paraplegic in the beginning but now has a fully working leg and is able to fly and perch to a reasonably well degree.

He's very imprinted on humans because of the whole process (basically 99%+ chance of death without this intervention) and he's still pretty disabled - so a semi wild semi human help situation might be the best thing anyways. Idk. But I love corvids so feeding him and looking after him was a joy

Just a gaggle of geese loafing around.

I really liked the “deep goose” at the water’s edge, just staring off across the water, thinking deep goose thoughts.
