I've already gone over the map 30 times; I'm just missing something there in the DLC, but either I'm blind or it's bugged... wha the fvck, help pls

I'm fairly new to metroidvanias after Hollow Knight got me into the genre. Enjoyed a few others and started to realise there are quite a few soulslike crossovers which is my usual kind of game. I even really enjoyed Mandragora for the Diablo style dopamine hits of constantly finding upgrades and unlocking skills (seems an underrated game but a little on the cheesy side).

Anyway Blasphemous sounded great, decided to go with the second instalment due to comments about gameplay. Loved the art and atmosphere from the start, but the combat and exploration seemed boring. Went with Veredicto, I guess no parry made initial combat a bit one dimensional. I wandered around some of the 'wrong' areas with no idea what the blue angels were for or how to get through the brown walls.. obviously no boss fights yet as I hadn't found any. Was a bit frustrating hitting unpassable stuff at every turn!

Then all of a sudden I get through the entombments area and fight the first boss. I admit I did a bit of googling and realised the link between the 3 bosses and 3 weapons. The momentum built from there and all of a sudden I've got a build coming along, I'm finding amazing boss fights, interesting areas and NPCs. And the tone and dialogue just gets better and better. The voice acting sends chills. No idea what's happening most of the time but I can feel something building.

I can't put the game down now, it's easily my favourite metroidvania so far. I just got through the Elevated Temple and released the first dove. If it carries on at this standard/ gets better it's gonna be a 10/10 game for me!

Only minor criticism - the style of rhe cut scenes feels a bit wrong.

As the title says I predict a 2nd DLC for Blasphemous 2. Not only did Blapshemous 1 have three DLCs but there is a potential ingame hint. So in the 1st DLC we got Mea Culpa which replaced Ruego Del Alba as a weapon, now worth the Third Sin DLC we got a whip as a replacement for Veredicto. We didn’t get a weapon replacing the two lightning swords though so I think that might happen in a third DLC.

I expect yet more new areas for that third DLC with a new boss and similiar to the final DLC of the first game a new form of the final boss/ a true final boss which might be a lot more epic and way more challenging than Incarnated Devoution. Maybe we also get a hint for a possible third game.

I've heard a lot of people say that the beginning is hard Im just starting, and im not have many issues with difficulty i am a little past the first boss in the suburbs. (Edit) I should clarify the castlevania games I am referring to are Sotn, Aria/Dawn of sorrow, Portrait of Ruin Order of Ecclesia ect the Igavanias

Loved the game and now looking for new games like this to play on switch 2. Can someone guide me?

I had just done the Stir of Dawn DLC for the first Blasphemous, and I gotta say. Laudes was probably my favorite boss out of the 2 games. Combining the movesets of all the Amanecidas into one makes for one of the most engaging boss fights I've ever experienced. Surprisingly enough, I somehow managed on my second try. What are your personal favorites?

I used double jump to explore lots of stuff and found something at the top of an area. I swear, I was ready to never come there again because there is nothing to explore. I'm playing in a library of my university right now, cuz why not. So my sound is almost 0. And I was ready to leave and then I heard a damn whisper. like wtf. I go back and punch everything and a wall breaks, i find one of those weird sisters.

I would have missed this for ever. I will never play this without sound again.
