Stop the lawsuit... #SaveAscension

I make this solemn vow to the Blizz I once knew, not what it is now. Wow used to be a massive fan of wow and all it had going for it. It had story, it had art, it gave me something to look forward to every two years! But after Battle of Azeroth was finished, everything has gone downhill or became lifeless. Characters felt hollow, things felt rushed, dear God shadow lands is the first expansion I felt was legitimately BAD, and this is coming from the guy who enjoyed warlords of Draenor. Because of this, I've found my fun in private servers, servers people put time and energy into, and had massive fun in them, starting with turtle wow..... And then you shut it down. Why? Because you were getting greedy and wanted the money they were making, don't even try to deny it. And now, you're trying to go after Ascension, which is practically the pinnacle of Private Server innovation?!... That tears it.

As an artist, that game has my support. It took what has become garbage since Activision took over and turned it into genuine gold again, and now you're trying to turn it into rusted scrap. That's where I draw the line. I am writing this comment now as a petition to everyone to join their signatures (nothing more than a simple "I" in the comments is necessary since obviously you don't want to lose your accounts anytime soon) here not as a threat but as a warning to blizz: If they shut down Ascension, we will shutdown our payments to blizz. Maybe it won't feel like much, maybe only the entirety of the ascension fan base will leave, but as a simple note, I leave this: if everyone who is a fan of ascension leaves, even going by the people who try to play daily, that's 40,000 players. 40,000 players will leave this game, taking their $15 monthly subs with them, and that's a solid $600,000 a month you'll lose in the process. And that's not even taking the larger side of the daily players into account which is around 60,000.

So I leave this.

If you don't want to explain to managers and business execs why the company is suddenly down half a million a month, there are two options for you: 1- create a system that links private servers to blizz so people playing on private servers still have to have a monthly subscription to wow to keep playing, which honestly benefits everyone.

2- drop the lawsuit and forget it. Cause with the amount of backlash you're already suffering from taking down TurtleWow, you're going to drive your business 6 feet under before 2030 at best...

Rant: The documents required to change my phone number and region is insane, no one else does this.

It's been a few years now I moved countries, i've changed all my other account phone numbers seamlessly, including the region of accounts/stores without requiring such documents.

All I need to do is change my phone number to my new one, it's literally the only account i have left that I need to change so I can get rid of my older number, yet I can't, it's forcing the country code for a new number and asking me to change account region so I can get the new country code for the number, and changing region is a whole customer support process that is asking unnecessary documents that I refuse to share.

I thought maybe I could cross my passport number but apparently even that isn't accepted. I don't have marriage certificates, legal name changes, divorce papers, and I haven't died... As for utility bills, they're not under my name...

No one else does this, why does it have to be this complicated...

Not asking for a solution but this deserves a rant.

Somebody stole my battle.net acc by changing mail like cutting the cheese and pathetic blizzard don't believe me after I provide all the details.

Somebody stole my account not even reaching my mail he just changed my mail somehow and I lost my access. Then I create ticket to this 3 iq company's support. I provide game time code used in account, character names, photo of changed mail (the mail I contact with them is the mail acc was created) account creation date. They decided to not trust me and somehow they let the hacker change my mail without even asking to me. Trash company.

World of Warcraft Retail – Midnight /services Channel Has Been Taken Over by a Bot Network – I've Been Silenced 8 Times in 2 Weeks, Overturned Every Time, and Blizzard Still Hasn't Fixed It

I'm posting this because I'm at my breaking point. I've been playing WoW for 20 years, including Retail – Midnight. I've never seen anything like this.

What's happening:

There's a community that has completely taken over the /services channel in WoW Retail – Midnight. They run 150-200 trial accounts (no subscription, no Midnight patch) that log in simultaneously, mass-report anyone outside their group, and log out again.

They don't even need to see your message. Their bot can:

  • Report cross-realm (not normally possible in-game)
  • Report cross-faction (not normally possible)
  • Report by GUID (not by character name)

If you post ANY service in /services, you're silenced within 30 seconds. I timed it.

My personal experience:

In the past 2 weeks, I've been silenced 8 times in WoW Retail – Midnight.

Every single time:

  • I open a ticket
  • A GM reviews my case
  • They confirm I did NOTHING wrong
  • They overturn the penalty

Here's my penalty history (6 overturns shown, 2 more happened before):

Silenced – 22 Jun – Overturned
Silenced – 23 Jun – Overturned
Silenced – 24 Jun – Overturned
Silenced – 25 Jun – Overturned
Silenced – 26 Jun – Overturned
Silenced – 27 Jun – Overturned
Silenced – 28 Jun – Overturned
Silenced – 1 Jul – Overturned

And 2 more after that.

I've been proven innocent 8 times by Blizzard's own GMs. And I'm still being silenced.

The exploit:

This community has built a bot that abuses the reporting system. Their accounts are ALL level 10. They have no game time. They just exist to mass-report.

I've sent Blizzard:

  • Screenshots of level 10 bot armies (hundreds of them)
  • Video footage of them logging in together
  • PDFs explaining the entire exploit
  • Evidence that their own members can post freely while outsiders get silenced

Blizzard's response? "We've overturned your penalty" and "We're working on it."

But it's been 2+ months. Nothing changes.

The worst part:

I've heard from multiple people that this community charges a WEEKLY fee to allow you to post in /services. You pay them, and they "whitelist" you. Otherwise, you're silenced immediately.

I have screenshots of these conversations.

What I'm asking Blizzard to do:

  1. Fix the reporting system – automated silences based on mass-reports are broken
  2. Restrict /services to level 80+ – trial accounts should not be able to abuse this channel
  3. Do not allow characters below level 80 to use the /services channel
  4. Do not allow trial accounts (no expansion, no subscription) to use the report system at all
  5. Investigate this community – cross-realm/cross-faction reporting is an exploit

These simple changes would stop 90% of this abuse instantly.

I'm paying for game time I can't use. My only hobby is being destroyed. And Blizzard's support team keeps removing my silence without fixing the actual problem.

I've done everything right. I've reported the bots. I've sent evidence. I've been patient. And I'm still being punished.

and more ...

u/BlizzardCS u/WoWDevs – please fix this. The /services channel in WoW Retail – Midnight is completely unusable for legitimate players.

Please be my voice. Share this post, retweet it, upvote it – so it reaches someone who can actually do something about it.

Will Blizzard Ever Bring These Back?

Is there ever a chance Blizzard will bring back the WoW leggings? They had a bunch of WoW themed leggings going back a few years ago, and I was just wondering if theres a chance they'll ever bring them back. Is there a way to request them to come back to the store? Is there any way to get them now or have them custom-made?

Since when was gaming about sales and not content?

Why do I want to look at all this BS? This company is so lame but their legacy games and legacy stories are so good :(

What about some patch notes or updates you are doing to the game? Anyone else with me or am I unrealistic?

Blizzard/battle net game not appearing in library

Hello everyone! 3 days ago I had purchased call of duty bo7, after buying it I went to download it, and it was no where to be found, even when searching my games in general. I’ll search the store for the game, and it says in my library and I can’t find it. I have contacted the support team, they’ve told me to go to my games tab, and select call of duty to then choose the game I wish to install, I’ve told them multiple times that it’s not an option, they refuse to listen to me and just keeps giving me the same instructions to install it, that I’ve stated multiple times doesn’t work, even included screenshots. The black ops tab is for my coldwar game, not any other. Has anyone had any issues with this? I’m at a loss here

Why was my Character Boost refund denied for a “recent penalty” when my account has no restrictions?

I recently submitted a refund request for an unused Level 58 Character Boost, and Blizzard denied it because “a penalty was applied to this account too recently.”
For some context, my game is fully playable. I have no active account restrictions, and I’ve been playing normally without any issues.
I originally bought one Level 58 boost and used it. After leveling that character, I thought it would be fun to make another one, so I purchased a second boost. Almost immediately after buying it, I realized I didn’t actually want another character, so I submitted a refund request without using the boost.
That’s when I was told the refund couldn’t be processed because “a penalty was applied to this account too recently.”
I’m not trying to argue the refund policy itself. I’m just trying to understand how it works.
My questions are:
If an account isn’t eligible for a refund because of a previous penalty, why is it still allowed to purchase a Character Boost without any warning? It seems like Blizzard already knows the refund won’t be approved before the purchase is made.
Is there any way to see what the previous penalty was actually for? My Account Restrictions page doesn’t seem to provide any details, and I don’t remember ever being notified about it while I was actively playing.
Does anyone know how long after a previous penalty an account becomes eligible for refunds again? The Game Master only said the penalty was applied “too recently” but didn’t provide any timeframe.
Has anyone else experienced this or received an explanation from Blizzard?

WTF?

Who is the idiot that made it so you have to be logged into your authenticator...TO LOG IN TO YOUR AUTHENTICATOR! Honestly, I want to meet who hired you and chemically castrate them. Why the hell do I need to be logged in to log in? I cannot stress just how idiotic it is. Oh and all the support runs you in the same damn circles.

Disappointed before I even started My frustrating experience trying to sub to WoW as a new player

I have never played WoW before and today was supposed to be my first day playing the game I was really excited to finally try it out but my experience with support has been super discouraging I bought a 20 Euro Blizzard Balance code but ran into a region error when redeeming it My main Battle net account is registered in Saudi Arabia SAR but in my launcher my game account is listed as WoW1 EU Since the code is EU and the game account is EU I thought support could help me out I opened a ticket and explained everything but the GM just gave me a quick copy paste response telling me to go back to the retailer for a refund because they cannot change currencies and then closed the ticket The retailer obviously won't refund a revealed digital code so now I am just stuck I am really disappointed because I thought support would be able to check that the code is unused cancel it and just manually add the balance or credit to my EU account which is a standard fix for region mix ups

Mi scuso se non è pertinente ma adoro troppo questo tipo di recensioni 🤣

Esperienza epica.

Recognize

As Tolkien gave us hobbits, so too did blizzard give us another brand new race with its own culture; Murlocs. Congratulations to Blizzard for this unrecognized achievement.
