Since LAG is gone (for now) and AI is 3dp and nerfed I want to lean into the 1dps. I already have 4 dreadnoughts (1 ballistus, 2 redemptor, 1 Brutalis) but I’m tempted to expand my terminators by buying another 15 (already have 5 and a happy) but whata the long term view? They always seemed a bit limited by mobility?

When LAG or whatever it will be eventually returns will they still be viable? BGVs seemed to get play already (I don’t have any but I do have the Impulsor to put them in) and worked in LAG so they may work again in the future. Alternatively Terminator and Dreadnought spam sounds cool.

My army is fairly balanced and has lots but not just BA JP units but it feels like leaning into something else in the interim is needed.

20 terminators + chars or just topping up with 6 bgv?

I finally repainted my Apothecary Biologis for the last time. I never planned on trying again, I found working with white all over the mini to be a very very frustrating experience. But, I decided to give it one more try. Unfortunately some bits on him broke, so I had to get creative. To recreate his scalpel I cut a combat knife from the hilt and the foregrip from the front of a bolter to recreate the mechanical blade look. I also decided to change his chest piece and gave him the terminator chest. It didn’t quite fit and so I used putty to attach and slightly sculpt (first attempt ever) the pieces together. I also really enjoy painting faces now so I decided to change out his head especially since stripping the paint was not effective and it really gummed up the mini. I’m super proud of how he turned out. Included are my first two attempts and the process. C&C welcome

Calling him done at this point. Maybe he will start making sense again soon. Head is from HH Crimson Paladin set.

DC Dread ripping apart some 'Nids. Greytide Studios Crimson Lords bits are great for a DC Dread by the way.

Not sure if anyone else has posted this yet, but the old BA Terminator Assault squad storm shields are fantastic replacements for combat shields. Takes some minor cutting in the back, and maybe some green stuff if you care. But yeah, I like 'em.
