11th might be the best edition yet.

Early days and a lot will change. I also criticise Geebubs when they deserve it so want to be fair.

11th edition is off to a great start and could end up being the best edition yet.

Hopefully they fix the toe into dense terrain thingy but everything else is looking very promising.

Woolies mince maths don't add up. Worst mince I've ever eaten.

Now all supermarket mince is crap compared to genuine butchers' mince but I usualy buy my meat at Coles as they have bought my livestock previously and do have decent meat (IGA's in the country usually the best).

Bought the lowest grade mince from Woolies and its listed as 18% fat. Usually buy 3 star from Coles for 50c more 500 grams.

Most supermarket mince has analogues and ian't hung long enough and a lot of water cooks out.

The Woolies mince cooked up very badly with a lot more water and fat. I reckon I get about 450 grams of meat solids out of a Coles Mince but the Woolies mince left about 100 grams of fat rendered out into the pan and then the water cooked out.

Reckon I got about 350 grams of eatable meat out of the Woolies pack. Absolute crap quality too.

Also the maths doesn't add up. A female cow has marginally more fat than a boy. Time of year and diet will affect carcass fat but its usually 12-18% max and modern genetics target feed conversion efficency as well as intramuscular fat.

Also the vast majority of beef is Steers.

So very few carcasses have 18% fat. Grain feed female cows will have the highest.

Now I swear I tasted pork in my beef mince, I wouldn't be suprised if there was imported pig fat rendered into a analogue to add to the beef mince. I understand there are hybrid minces but this is not listed as a hybrid mince.

Also grain feed beef, with modern genetics, has a lot of this 12-18% as intra muscular fat. Wagyu is prized for this feature.

Wagyu is not being used for these supermarket cuts, so how are they consistently hitting 18% fat on their low grade mince? Sure some cuts have lower than 5% fat but for me this all doesn't add up.

Eifher way its terrible mince and they should pull their heads out of their asses and make a decent product for the tonnes of this crap they sell each week.

The Spear of Telesto (Finished).

Had to redo the colour graduation and add effects.

Named the Landraider The Spear of Telesto after Sanguinius' blasty Spear.

Finished another squad of DC. Fully magnetised.

Really like having 2 DC on the table now and I really like painting them as well. A better painter would do them in a day but took me a week.

Captain Dontas Aphael.

If you know me from Reddit you will know a finished photo is rare.

If you know me IRL you know I don't claim to be the best painter. I just love Blood Angels enough to keep working at a model and correcting my mistakes until it looks good.

Captain Dontas Aphael for my 2nd Company project.

Stop feeding bird's now H5 is here.

With the confirmed cases of H5 now in Australia there are a few things we can do to protect our pets, help farmers and native birds.

A. Don't feed birds anymore. Anywhere they can gather in large numbers for feeding will be a risk to them. Lots of people in Urban areas dump bread at parks ect. This was always really bad for birds and is now even worse.

B. Keep your cats inside. Sick birds are easy targets. H5 is very dangerous to cats.

C. Dogs on leashes. I have a 12 year old Kelpie with a bung shoulder. She's on the leash now.

D. If you see a bunch of dead birds take a photo and let the DSE, DPI or relevant authorities know.

E. Sick or injured birds. Use a towel and wear a mask. Obviously if its an area without reports and a non migration local bird, its probably not H5.

The government is quite prepared for this but the community has the biggest role to play and if we all do our bit we will be fine.

My bad habit of posting 79% done minis continues.

My favorite character in 40k. He's nuts but knows it, but by pure faith and duty is still the best Blood Angel. Stasis would be barely working at this point and his mind is just fragments held together by service to the Emperor, his Primarch and his lost brothers.

Love the sculp, was one of the better ones and gave him white wings from an old kit bash from someone who did it originally decades ago now.

Gave him purity seals everywhere too. He's not Mephiston who has never been modelled with one, and would probably immolate if you tried to stick one on him.

Don't bet, even $5.

Haven't always gambled responsibly but I took a break and sorted it out.

Now I am quitting for good. I've been both a lucky and unlucky punter over 10 years and wanted to share some observations.

-It affects your borrowing capacity very badly.

-Its bad fpr your health.

-The bookies will close down wining accounts.

-You won't be able to get a really big bet on if you want to.

-Cash out won't always be available and they will degrade their offers based on your winning history.

-The AFL, & to a lesser extent the NRL, do things to make the competition even.

-Match fixing is a big issue and happens. Spot bet fixing is rife.

-Sport is a lot more fun without betting, it can also be a lot more boring. Do something else than watch 13th v 16th.

-Wining is just as bad for your mental health as loosing. Its actually worse in some ways.

-Its inherintley corruptive and corrupts our polictics and sport. Its a shadey industry with exploitation at its core, it does ruin lives and betting enables that to happen to others.

This is coming from a guy who owns his own house 100% and is never, ever going to loose it because the NRL & AFL has official wagering sponsors that get far too much of a say, and influence, in sport.

Wharfie time.

I heard from a mate's mate that the players go onto triple time penalties, with a 25% leave loading and 10 hours overtime built in during Wharfie time.

Its off chops regardless and fun to watch.

Firstly I am one of those Aussies that likes America a lot. Have been blessed to travel there frequently and have meet some amazing people and have seen some amazing sights (still hope to see and meet a lot more).

Something has been bothering me a lot and this is a genuine question. Why do Maga Americans believe President Trump is Christian?

Now I am not perfect and I don't have a right to judge anyone but the world, and America, is suffering a lot because of the American Christian right's support for President Trump.

Most Christian's could quote a dozen passages from the bible to cast a very strong doubt over President Trump's faith.

"It's easier for a Camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven" would be a well know example (Australian media has President Trump's busniess empire as +6.5 billion dollars as of Jan 2026).

"Love thy neighbour" is another.

I just don't see it. What am I missing?

Is it a lack of understanding of genuine Christian values?

Is it a 'saved' moment I missed? Did he renounce his former life as a NY real estate agent and repent?

Is American Christianity so lost and disconnected that it thinks it needs a saviour and would project that desire onto a candidate that makes the claim?

Is he just that generous of a person on a local level, a good grass roots delegate, that its not all that important?

I'd love to hear some peoples thought's on this as I really can't find an example of President Trump actually putting a faith in practice, let alone Christianity.
