So with Josh Fraser being appointed as the Carlton head coach, and also with Nathan Buckley at Geelong, it made me wonder which other former Collingwood players are working in coaching. Just quickly going through the various clubs' websites, these are the ones I recognised. Does anyone know of any others?
Scott Burns, Senior Assistant (Forwards)
Josh Fraser, Senior Coach
Tyson Goldsack, Senior Assistant (Forwards)
Nathan Buckley, Assistant (not further specified)
Damian Monkhorst, Ruck Coach
Blake Caracella, Assistant (Midfield/Ball Movement)
For me, Damian Monkhorst was the most surprising, and Scott Burns was the most exciting. My dad loved Scott Burns so much and I still miss him (Scott Burns; my dad is still alive), and/but I feel like Frampton is currently doing his number a lot of justice (although sadly no long sleeves). Caracella I guess realistically is mostly an Essendon player, but he still counts imo.
I recently created a game to test my mates on players from different eras and their stats. Thought I'd share it and see how well you guys know ball. Hope you enjoy!
If you’ve read the news this morning about the incident involving Swans players and felt triggered or affected by it, you’re not alone.
News involving allegations of sexual assault can be confronting and frightening, and it can bring up a lot of difficult emotions - particularly for survivors of sexual assault and those close to them.
I’m posting this simply as a reminder to my fellow Magpies: please look after yourselves and each other today. Reach out to someone you trust or a support service if you need to, and check in on the people around you.
Everyone responds to news like this differently. For some, it’s another breaking-news story. For others, it can bring back experiences and emotions they’ve worked very hard to live with.

If you are looking to minimise your Kayo spend, then the last Pies game is on a free to air night, following that, ALL finals (including wildcard) are free to air.
So it may well be that now is a good time to cancel and ensure that those greedy pricks don't get a cent more than they need to.
That given it is the deadest of dead rubbers, we go full Ross Lyon and rest a dozen players? Show the AFL in prime time Friday night lights how “exciting” the wild card round has made the season? Or is that just me being mischievous..?
We all know the Pies have by far the oldest list in the competition. The theory was we lacked talent in the under-22 demographic.
Well the last few weeks have shown there is more than enough coming through. They just need opportunities.
Swadling is a jet. Ed Allen has gone from strength to strength since landing in the midfield. West crashes packs and clunks makes like a young Travis cloke. R Steele busts his gut and bobs up for a goal every week. McCreery turned the game last night when he went into the centre. The list goes on.
The problem is not young talent - it's opportunity for that talent to thrive. And I think McRae needs to be ruthless about making those opportunities happen.
My argument is, it's time to pick players on form rather than reputation. He's the GOAT, but the game has finally gone past Pendles. Sidey has been in steady decline all year. Houston is in the team based on his two-time AA label, but apart from the odd game he's been poor since coming to us.
With Lippa, Howe Perryman and Maynard to come back in, who goes out?
We've looked much better with speed on the ball.
I'd like to see some tough calls made in coming weeks. Don't select players just because they are club champions or All Australians.
Keen to hear what you guys think. Do we need to make some tough selection calls on Pendles, Sidey and potentially Houston? If not, why not?
Both surely cannot be dropped from this point
Adding to that, slightly below the pecking order, Hayes and Anderson play their roles well, Hayes looked amazing before his injury earlier this year
If Neale joins next year, I feel Long, Steele or Harrison are on the the edges of the team
It was a pretty good game BEFORE he made the match saving play.
