Everyone's sharing, decided to join. Wasn't exactly the highest level, so didn't have many items to play with, but did what i could with what i had. Shame there wasn't enough time to play with all of them (usually i mained the enforcer and on the last day of the game got her a fancy coat, but forgot to take a screenshot)
Someone in Bloodhunt reborn discord server is trying to reverse and host private servers for bloodhunt.
I got these images from the discord server. I don't understand the depth of how it all works but they were discussing a lot of stuff.

So, this time i was just roaming the roofs Prague, but there was no one in the game. I knew that the server was empty, but i could explore the map freely, for as long as i wanted and go wherever i wanted.
So my question is:
Is it technically possible to actually make an offline version of a game like this? I know that it is next to impossible that such a thing can occur now, but, technically, the steam client still downloads all the assets of the game, even though you can't access them directly. And, in theory, it should be an easier job to access them, rather than try to make a dedicated server (which would be ideal). I would gladly explore prague all by myself. What do you think?
I was curious to see how many players were there at the end, so I checked a site that shows the various stats. It looks like we were averaging about 300 players during the days leading up to Apr 28. And then we got about 770 in there at the end. It was a good turn out, but probably not enough to show enough interest to keep the game active. If the ending was on a weekend maybe we could have gotten over a thousand.
Then I noticed that the chart didn't drop to zero after Apr 28. That could just be a bug in the code that collects and displays stats, so I checked a few other sites. Those also show a non-zero number of players AFTER Apr 28. One site with a display glitch I can understand, but multiple sites with independent code having the same issue? ...hmm... So I do some more digging, and find this page on the official bloodhunt.com domain. It shows ... all green.
Maybe its all coincidence. Or maybe something not yet announced is being tested?

As some of you were interested in seeing my progress. Here are this week's updates.
Ideally, I would've stayed blocking out more of the spaces with simple volumes. But I got a bit carried away with the banisters. haha
So, progress this week is detailing the main railing shape on the sides of the main hall, and the one over the fountain.
I'm focusing on really nailing the shapes and dimensions of the elements. Leaving the models clean and prepared to add more of the surface detail once I reach the texturing stage.
I wont be able to post this next week, but I'll try my best to give you a bigger update on my next post.

I really enjoyed blood hunt what a fun game!
Now that the servers are offline, it would be sad to see the subreddit follow. So my question is: Will this subreddit stay open? If so that would be great because it would be sad to see it go..!
It is just as I feared, gentleman. Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt has unfortunately been shut down, much to my dismay.
I've been thinking about several characters that I could create (like Legacy of Kain's Raziel and even Prince Lestat from Interview With The Vampire) but sadly, those dreams will never be fully seen and they will never come true because the game has gone dark, not a single server remains.
I wasn't around when the server was being shut down, because I was entangled with current affairs and family issues, but from what I've seen, it was well-done just like Toon Town (another online community that has been shut down as well).
Nowadays, I lament the loss of Bloodhunt, and I am currently thinking about Fanfiction for the Final Days of this awesome VtM game.
So, my beloved TGA fans, let us have a moment of silence for Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt, for it has suffered the same fate as another beloved game; Nosgoth.
Such a tragic fate for a game that didn't deserve it.
There are are a few galleries out there with works from the game's developers and artists. Some of these date back to the early days of the game's development. These may stay around for a while, or they may be removed if someone decides to remove old content. You may want to go through these and see if you find anything you want to save and archive. Sadly, we probably won't see any new images.
And lastly, this X-Twitter update from Sharkmob has the only official image of the sunrise over Prague. I played around with the URL link and found a high quality version.
I played on a new map, which was more gothic and more rural than Prague. It had more indoor gameplay, rundown buildings, village houses, etc. I had a really good time, but then, sadly, i had to wake up.
Some people say don't be sad that it ended, be happy that it existed. And i agree with the second part, but boy am i sad that it ended. It's Been a week since the servers closed down, but i still can't believe how such a good game could've just vanished.
I honestly can't understand how there couldn't have been an offline mode with bots or something similar. So many good assets lost, such beatiful art destroyed.
All i can hope for is if the Bloodhunt community will continue to exist and be active, the developers might notice it and do something about it. This is less cope and closer to despair.
Never the less, i'm proud of this community still existing and being active and i'm proud to be a part of it. And i sure as hell plan on continue posting here.
