Otherworldly set last night
Spacefunk Incantation? It was so good.

Spacefunk Incantation? It was so good.
Here - live at Buena Vista Colorado as part of Field of Vision 2
I'm digging through old pics. A lot of them from early Blood Incantation - Spectral Voice days.
We released Starspawn ten years ago and I've been asked to write some liner notes for the ten year edition.
I'll try to post some more photos but this one was taken during the Spectral Voice - Undergang tour. The guys played in the Springs the night prior and we went out for breakfast the next morning. I'm in the Sabbat shirt.
You can see Paul, Jeff and Isaac along with Eli (SV/Black Curse). Sam from Hulder played bass for Undergang on this tour.
The second pic is the original cdr that Paul gave me when I drove to Denver to check out how recording was going at World Famous Studio. I still have that disc bouncing around here, of course. I remember listening to it in my van on the drive back home and getting goosebumps. I knew people were going to fucking love it, I just didn't know how big it would be. I soon found out.
Anyway, if you're into seeing these types of photos, I'll post more as I find them.
So the 'Otherwordly set' (assuming getting a synthwave show) and regular set will be broadcast on King Gizzards YouTube channel on Friday and Saturday (US time).
Might not have the budget of a big European festival, but it's pretty bloody good, and for the otherworldly set, it's a treat in itself.
Unfolded prescience - The Message Tablet I at ~4:03
I hear this everytime as I farted
Hey fellow nerds. In Tablet III around the 3:15 mark they go into a drum break, and to me it’s always sounded like there’s another layer of percussion on top of what’s being played on the drum kit. Almost like roto toms(EDIT: iirc when I saw them live he might have had a set of rotos on his kit) or even bongos/congas.
Really really love this specific movement; it’s always evoked a feeling of Latin/afro influences to me.
Anybody have any ideas on what that might be?
Or any other interesting instrumental anomalies you guys have picked up from rerunning the record?
