Please note that this is a purely subjective list I'm making for fun. I love every single episode of BES and have nothing but respect for the show itself.

Episode 1: "Hammerscale"

Fucking banger opening title imo. sounds cool, is plot relevant with the blacksmith imagery. It sounds cool but actual hammerscale is just metal dust excess so I'll put it at 7/10. Made me excited to watch the show tho.

Episode 2: "An Unexpected Element"

Does not go as hard as Ep 1 and it doesn't sound as cool. It could build suspense but every single episode is full of twists and turns, so the title is irrelevant to me. It just like "oooh that was a surprise," :o Underwhelming 4/10

Episode 3: "A Fixed Number of Paths"

Def relevant to the show, in this ep we really get into the set paths for both genders (wife,whore,fisherman,artisan,samurai, merchant) in edo period japan. This title might put emphasis on Akemi's dichotomy of wife/whore, but i also think it puts emphasis on how mizu fits into nothing and has to make her own path, the Path of RevengeTM 6/10

Episode 4: "Peculiarities"

Mostly to do with madame kaji and her ladies, not very unique and i feel like this ep was so good it deserved sm better. 5/10

Episode 5: "The Tale of the Ronin and the Bride"

OH HELL YEAHHHHHHHH OH HELL YEAH THIS SHIT BUSSIN SO GOOD GAWDAYUM. AMAZING STORY, LOVED THE PUPPET SHOW ITSELF. So heartbreaking. Applies so well to the episode. 10/10

Episode 6: "All Evil Dreams and Angry Words"

THIS GOES SO HARD AUGHHHHHHH. I love how Mizu quoted it in her prayer and how it foreshadows the horrors to come in the fortress. LOVED this ep as well for its video-game nature, primary focus on mizu, and the METALLICA OPENING OMG LEGENDARY. idk why i found mizu counting to 100 cute. 11/10

Episode 7: "Nothing Broken"

Probably has to do with Mizu reforging her sword + her and taigen recovering after getting their asses BEAT. Could also be reframed as Mizu denying that she needs help, (why fix what's not broken mindset) when baby is literally hanging on by a thread and ink someone pls give her a hug omg. 7/10

Episode 8: "The Great Fire of 1657"

Was not that interesting to me imo, so aside from me now memorizing a historical event i feel like there was wasted potential. Like... It could go hard with the fire motif and mizu meaning water. It just doesn't do it for me. 3/10
