Hello. I'm semi new to the boca Deerfield area. I've been trying to find places to meet someone here but it's very different then where im from. I've tried some dive bars which some aren't really busy. I've also tried mizner Park, but there is so many people in groups is hard to actually get anyone's attention. Where should I be going to try and meet single people. Are there dating events or single nights i don't know about. Sorry if this isn't the place to post this, I dint really use reddit that much.

Hi all - I’m sure this has been asked before, but what are your recommendations for favorite local Italian restaurants? My MIL is coming to visit next month and she loves homemade pasta and good wine. We have plans for Runway down in Fort Lauderdale, but I would love to hear about some local recommendations as well

Looking for a recommendation for where to take my 8 year old for an eye exam...my pediatrician said she didn't need to see an opthalmologist, but I would prefer to take her to someone that sees kids not infrequently...

It’s was only opened a 18 months or so.
It was nice clean reasonable compared to Publix and had a nice variety.

Any tips for ways to prevent or reduce mosquito activity in my backyard short of screens or the toxic fog? I’ve heard about mosquito dunks and other things. Anything that works really well? I’m moving to Boca at the end of the year and am just trying to plan ahead. Or do I just need to learn to live with them as a reality. They’re here in AZ too so it’s nothing new.

Coming for a visit. Anything in the Boca general area that my family and I may really appreciate doing while we are there? We don’t mind a bit of a drive.

My daughter lives there and went through her clothes and has a bunch to give away. I’m guessing there’s Goodwill and/or Salvation Army. But is there a domestic violence shelter that takes them? Or a place that gives to those in the foster system?

I am originally from philly, but my parents recently moved down here, and I am staying down here while I study for the bar exam.

Wanted some recs for a chill bar I could go to on a Friday night to have a drink, some food, and just decompress. And conversely, a fun club I could go to if I wanted a more upbeat vibe.

I'm a professor at FAU in the early stages of developing a documentary on people's experiences moving to South Florida. I'm currently looking for people who moved here from elsewhere in the US because they specifically wanted to come here, not just arriving by chance for work or school (I'm interested in international newcomers, too, but already have a start on that).
