CBSE or Central board of Secondary education, so many students study in schools which fall under this board, and this board has FAILED every. single. one. of them

I am a student in grade 12 and also I'm from the middle east and my school had been adamant on making the preboard papers really tough (they have admitted to making it tough) so that students "study harder"

An example: The physics percentage for the entire grade in my school was an average of 44% can you imagine the number of students whose morale went down because they have failed the exam?!

Now the entire year we were given the hope that our board exam would be better and we will do well in it because it is supposedly "easier" but fate had other means of thought and we never even able to give the exam. The exam which we ALL thought that we could prove our bad marks wrong. We could improve subsequently, all the hope going down the drain.

Just because of war. War is not a joke, including me many people could hear missiles from outside, some had to evacuate. Do you think its easy to sit and study in a situation like this? Its not. I was scared, I thought I would really die.

Post war; exams are cancelled and yes many children were gleaming of joy but it isn't truly joy. When we received the circular stating how our marks would be taken we were nervous! For the 10th graders it would be taken the average of the subjects they had taken and for the 12th graders? Previously taken exams.

Can you believe it?! Model exams, Preboard exams, CASE exams whatever name they have THEY ARE NOT STANDARDISED!!! THEY DONT HAVE A SYSTEM OF HOW THE PAPER HAS TO BE SET BECAUSE THEY ARE AN INTERNAL EXAM.

just HOW can CBSE be so irresponsible and take such a LAZY response to this situation, on top of that so many kids have FAILED their exams. Not even grace marks were rewarded considering the dire need of it in this situation.

In fact, some children have been marked to be subjects of monopoly by teachers and their marks have been tampered to lower than what they would expect.

Science students have only done Physics, chemistry or PE
Commerce students and Humanities/Arts students have barely done one exam.
(forgive me for not mentioning elective subjects I am not that knowledgeable about every single elective)

And you base their ENTIRE future on just some preboard marks?
What happened to 'these marks don't decide your future' BECAUSE YOU KNOW WHAT? NOW THEY KIND OF DO SO I EXPECTED YOU TO TAKE ATLEAST THE BARE MINIMUM OF RESPONSIBILITY TO IMPROVE THIS CONDITION OF OURS

I am not just speaking in behalf of the students of middle east, this is for us students who study under this board entirely no matter the country. We all have been played by this board. They have sucked our lives out for some stupid validation.

Oh and I'm not done, let me talk about the RIGGED system of OSM also known as ON SCREEN MARKING

I guess there are no bounds to your foolishness CBSE.
You introduce a system and pressurize the teachers just a MONTH before our board exams. Teachers are humans too! They are bound to making mistakes and also the system is ON SCREEN. SO many teachers are of age (elderly), how can they sit on the screen for so long? How can certain schools in villages in India have proper internet or systems to use OSM?

Has it not occurred to you to THINK TWICE before introducing such a faulty system?! Oh and I'm not done, you have also claimed to DELAY our results because of ERRORS in your system.

If you are so esteemed as you claim yourself to be, WHY couldn't this be introduced in EVERY school during preboards or Half-Yearly's?! THE TEACHERS WOULDVE GOTTEN A GRIP OF IT ATLEAST!
Oh and I'm not done yet, WHY GRADE 12?

ARE WE A LAUGHING STOCK FOR YOUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS?
IS OUR FUTURE A GAME TO YOU? ARE WE PAWNS IN YOUR CHESS GAME?

I mean if you wanted to introduce it because your life depends on it, you could've introduced OSM to grade 10! because grade 10 marks are not that important!
WHY GRADE 12? DONT YOU UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF GRADE 12 AFTER ALL THESE YEARS OF HANDLING EDUCATION FOR MILLIONS OF STUDENTS!!?!

So, PLEASE MAKE A CHANGE.
you know our future and career life depends on these marks. After all, it is YOU who made us so dependent on them so fix this system.

I do have a few changes I would like;

- discard OSM entirely or make the educators practice to use this system because it is just in its raw stage and its very faulty.

- this is I believe the second time exams have been cancelled, isn't it high time you start deciding what to do in situations like this? We cannot predict what would come of the 2027 Board Examinations. I personally recommend changing the system of marks.
Like for example:
Instead of 70 Mark theory + 30 Mark Practical, Can't you introduce Projects and Assignments? make it in this way:
--> 50 Mark Theory + 30 Mark Practical + 20 Mark Projects and Assignments or other things

Now do not confuse projects for the ones we need for our board practical I am talking about those useless assignments we get during summer vacation and even notebook work, I mean the best you can do is take consideration of those too. Not just that you can even include things like class performance and everything! in this way it would be easier for students to at least pass exams if not get good in the theory papers.
It also ensures less of teacher - student monopoly as such marks are given by external examiners and not just teachers.

-stop putting competitive exam questions in board level papers. Like for example in physics (i am a PCB student so I am not well versed in Mathematics) exams they always give us JEE Mains level questions. How can you expect students who haven't taken Mathematics to solve Physics questions which revolve around math? There is a reason we haven't taken Math so stop forcing us to practice it.

-Ensure that preboards are standardized.
I don't understand where this foolish tradition of making preboard papers harder than board papers even started from, why are you lowering the morale of students? You're not getting paid to do that, we are paying schools for education not for lack of motivation.
ALL PREBOARD PAPERS SHOULD FOLLOW BOARD PATTERN NO MATTER WHAT

Actually while writing this I thought about another point,
You promote well being of students but the entire year we barely have ten Physical Education Classes. On top of that, you burden us with so much work and pressure we barely have time to even take care of ourselves. This should be taken seriously because it takes a toll on the health of students.

My personal experience:
Not so long ago I was diagnosed with PCOS [now renamed to PMOS]
I need regular exercise and for a year I hadn't done it consistently because of the huge mountain piles of work that I had to complete from school. In fact during the war months, It had really spiked my cortisol levels and I didn't have my period come for a whole 4 months. I had to take pills for it.

If it had become severe even a google search can tell you the fatal ill effects of PCOS/PMOS

My final take on this is, please please please give us JUSTICE
we need it. Nothing has been going right for us from the start of this year and you are just ruining it more.

because at the end,

we are just children aren't we? most of us 12th graders are between the ages of 16-18 years. Biologically, That's still a developing child just a little more closer to adulthood.
So I am asking you one last time, please spare us some mercy.
