Buying / selling rare metals (not gold/silver) ?

Recently I've been looking at Indium prices which seem quite interesting. I noticed it's possible to buy some sort of bullion/bars.

While buying seems quite easy, how does the selling go? Is it possible to resell rare metals as easily as we buy them?

Spent too much time manually tracking my silver, so I finally just built an app for it.

I've been stacking for a while, and I got tired of keeping track of everything manually. I tried a bunch of apps, but none of them really worked the way I wanted, so I ended up building my own. I called it PINGOT (cross between ingot and ping test)

It tracks live spot prices, cost basis, and current melt value, and I've been using it to keep tabs on my stack. You can add up to 10 items for free if you just want to check it out and see if it's useful. Beyond that, there's a subscription that helps cover the live pricing data and AI image scanning.

I'm mainly posting because I'd love some honest feedback from other stackers. Is there anything you'd want a tracker like this to do that it doesn't? Anything that would make it more useful?

If anyone wants to try it out, I'd really appreciate hearing what you think.

I only released it on Apple at the moment. Android coming soon.

250th anniversary gold coins

Should I buy a 2026 Liberty or Buffalo? This year is America’s 250th Birthday and I was wondering if this years coins will be worth more in the future compared to other years. I know this sub likes to say “always buy” 😆. For background I’m buying for retirement and will be sitting on these for YEARS. I’m lucky if I can buy an Oz per year.

What’s the one bullion purchase you’ll never sell?

Not necessarily your most valuable piece.
It could be your first coin, your favorite design, an inherited piece, or something with a story behind it.
I’d love to see photos too.

Ill go first 10oz RCM Bar

Goldback practical bullion or novelty product?

I recently came across Goldbacks while looking into different forms of physical gold. I had never really seen this type of product before, so I spent some time reading about it and watching different opinions online .From my perspective as someone still learning about physical gold, it felt quite different from regular coins or bars. I’m used to thinking in terms of weight, purity, and standard bullion formats, so this idea of small, usable gold notes was new for me

That’s why I’m trying to understand how experienced stackers see it.Would you actually trust something like this over regular bullion coins or bars if your goal is long-term value storage?Or does it fall more into the interesting idea but not serious bullion category for most stackers?

I want to understand where people draw the line between practical bullion and novelty type gold products, especially in terms of trust, liquidity, and real world experiences.

New Stacker

Hello, I’ve decided after years trading on the market that it’s time for me to hold the physical asset but I haven’t the slightest clue where to be getting it from, does anyone know of any reliable places to be getting silver and gold in the UK? Thanks in advance.
