I installed a CarPlay and Dash Cam Unit.

I bought a Carpuride W603 on Amazon Prime day for about $160. I got this unit because it’s 6” screen size (I did not want a giant screen), and this was the smallest screen that also had a front and rear dash cam. Here’s the result.

So before diving into it, I was reviewing the wiring diagrams looking for switched power sources, and was going to tie into the black wire feeding the USB charger under the seat. The black wire is 12V switched power (see picture). I was just going to cut and solder in power there. I measured amps from the unit and they were very low at about 0.2A at 12V, so no worries about taking power feeding the USB charger and it’s 10A circuit. But reading the manual for the Carpuride, they have the option to feed power from a USB source if the source can supply 4.5V at 2.5A. The USB charger on the Hornet is rated at 5V and 3A. Score. So off the Microcenter for an adapter for USB C to A. Everything works great.

For the dash cam cameras, my original plan was to mount the front camera under the headlight where you couldn’t see it. Well, looking at the rated 130mm front fork travel, it runs the risk to crash into the front fender if you were to bottom out the front shock. So I couldn’t find any good spot and just gave up and stuck it down on top of the brake reservoir. Rear camera I stuck down on top of the license plate light on the rear fender.

The rest of the time was spent zip tying and looming wire up and out of the way and making sure steering is not impacted. Here’s the results.

Perfect bike for the roaming around the back country and seeing where the road takes you.

To do or not to do.

Are there any benefits to chiptune the Hornet after break in period?

Any experiences?

Stage 1 would give 100hp and 85 torque.

I have the Arrow veloce slip on.

Any thoughts?

Accessories for touring advice needed

I really want to take the bike to the Alps from the UK but am not sure which luggage option is best. Also, the seat is not comfortable after a couple of hours. Have any of you guys made changes to make the bike more touring friendly?

Is there known issues with this bike

I plan on buying a 2025 hornet 750 since they have good discounts in my area for new ones just wondering if there’s any known issues I should know about since I’m getting this bike for commuting 65 - 70 miles round trip for school this would be my first bike never ridden or cared for a bike but since school is far and traffic would suck a bike seems like the obvious answer

Best Quad Lock mount for a 2025 Honda CB750 Hornet?

Hey everyone,

I’ve got a 2025 Honda CB750 Hornet and I’m trying to figure out which Quad Lock mount setup makes the most sense.

I’m looking at the handlebar mount vs fork stem mount, but open to whatever works best. Mainly want something clean-looking, secure, and easy to see without blocking the dash or getting in the way.

Anyone here running a Quad Lock on their CB750/Hornet? What setup did you go with? Pics would be awesome too.

Thanks!

Any recommendation for red frame sliders?

Hi everyone, I’m looking for red frame sliders to match the rest of my bike’s color scheme. The two most prominent options are the Puig R19 and Barracuda (photos included for reference).

Has anyone tried or seen the Puig ones? I think they fit best aesthetically, but I’m a bit worried the red might look slightly washed out in person. Barracuda on the other hand looks cleaner overall but look way simpler (but maybe that's a good thing?). I’m located in Europe.

This is my first brand-new bike, and I’ve only put 50 km on her so far and I can’t describe how much I already love it.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations, and happy riding to all ^_^

Help with removing front fairing on 2026 model

I am trying to remove the front fairing so I can mount a puig windscreen, however step 1 of the instructions says to use an Allen key 3 to unscrew some screws at the top. do I have to remove these plastic bits first? I don't think it's the other screws in the picture because those are a size 5.

I'm following this guide https://youtu.be/\_U2AdvHvE3g

Hornet accessories

Some accessories I've installed on my Hornet so far:

• Handle grips - Progrip 717. Same thickness as the OEM grips, but the soft touch compound provides noticeably better grip. Still need to test them on a longer ride.

• Bar ends - Honda 08F72-MLB-D80

• Frame sliders - Honda 08P70-MLB-D80

• Windshield - AliExpress. Doesn't really provide much wind protection, but I had to give it a try 😄
