I’m a single mom to an awesome teen daughter. I’m dating an amazing man, after a 20 year miserable marriage ended a couple years ago. I want to find more opportunities to dress up with and for him. I know Chicago is casual in general, and that is fine, but I love the occasional opportunity to be fancy among others, if you will.
We have and do cool dinner dates and theater - but wondering if the gorgeous people here have ideas that are outside the box or less pricey so we can do them more often?

I am looking for a psychiatrist that listens and will work together with you. I have ADHD, autism, OCD, and treatment-resistant depression. For ADHD, I need to adjust/trial new meds. For the rest, I have done Genesight genetic testing and do not fit well with SSRI/SNRIs (also done trials before), so I prefer more alternative methods of medications/treatment (memantine, buspar, auvelity, spravato, TMS).

Does anyone have a good psychiatrist they would recommend? Any details with your experience and why you like them would be really helpful! I have BCBSIL PPO and prefer telehealth (in-person is ok).

Looking for fun date ideas that don’t involve your typical dinner + drinks! I’m 29 and my boyfriend is 34 - we live in Lincoln park so anywhere in the city is pretty much fair game!

We are considering moving out of the city (Bucktown) and have been exploring the north shore. The neighborhoods most appealing to us are: Evanston, Winnetka, Wilmette, Kenilworth, Glencoe.

We have a young toddler and plan to have another in the next 1-2 years so we’re wanting more space and craving a slowdown in life. We’ve been asking ourselves do we really want to spend $1.5M+ on a home in the city & still sacrifice things like a yard and more privacy.

I work in Fulton market and required in office 4 days a week. How brutal is the commute via car or Metra? I would likely do a mix.

How was finding a new circle of friends/other mom friends?
