A recap of the AMA done by u/InfinityWard about DMZ:
Tac Sprint is on by default.
Tac Sprint will brun through stamina. Items such as Energy Drink, Stim, Smelling Salts will refill and extend Stamina.
Tac Sprint can also be managed through the game settings.
Weapon damage is closer to Warzone, but still tuned specifically for DMZ.
While matchmaking will try to put solo players against other solo players, it is not guaranteed.
You can start a match solo by turning off Squad Fill.
People can still assimilate into other squads, up to 4 players maximum.
If a player loses connection to the servers, they should be able to rejoin if the match is still going.
While in a squad, the F.O.B. look will be based on the party's leader choices, but you can only use the features you have unlocked.
Every player will have access to a Tourniquet in each deployment.
The Tourniquet can be used to revived yourself after being down but only bring health back to 100 (instead of 150).
Health item can temporarily bring back the health to 150 but they will wear off overtime.
Using a Medkit will bring back the health to 150 permanently.
Additionally, Self Revives can be looted or printed.
There is no AP Rounds or similar in DMZ.
Weapon Camouflage can be unlocked during the Early Access.
Rescuing one of your Operators after they were killed allows you to keep their Traits and use your Stash to kit them again.
Weapon levels and attachments are shared between DMZ, MP and Wazone.
Weapons in DMZ are unlocked via Manuals which can be looted from safes and military crates.
Unlocking a weapon in DMZ will not unlock it in MP or Warzone.
Likewise unlocking a weapon in MP/Warzone does not make it available to use in DMZ.
It is too early to make any commitment about the future of DMZ after Modern Warfare 4.
The "Single Squad Mission" seen in one of the trailers was a developer playlist and is not intended for the general public.
A total of 20 squads (60 players) will be available in Hajin. With all players/squads spawning at the same time.
Once the Russian part of Hajin will become available with Season 02, Hajin will become the largest map ever made by Infinity Ward.
More maps are planned in DMZ after the release of XO1 in Season 01.
There are plans for challenges similar to the Serpentine camo after launch.
DMZ features two kind of parachutes which can be both looted and printed, Limited Use and Infinite Use.
There is no plan for a night mode at launch.
DMZ doesn't feature an in-game LFG/party system, you will be matched with players who picked similar objectives (Story Missions, Dynamic Ops, Free Roam)
Inventory was built around quick actions on controller and no overlap with item information.
