ECO 251 4 week

Is a 4 week course for ECO 251 a mistake?

I just realized I’m registered for a 4 week course. I’d like to do it to get it over with, since it seems it’ll lighten the rest of the semester for me, but is this going to be a massive work load?
I will have two 8 week courses at the same time (HUM 211 and ACA 122), on top of two 16 week courses (BIO 169 and SOC 210)

Financial aid update

I received the email awhile back with my financial aid packet and had received a good amount of aid. I was accepted into the dental assisting program and put that as my program of study on the FAFSA form. I registered for my classes this morning and on my account summary where it says financial aid it says I’m no longer eligible because my program of study. I don’t understand why it would say that 😭 It used to be pre dental hygiene back when I started in 2022 but I never put that on the actual form. I’ve been on hold with office for 30 minutes now. Is anyone else having issues??

Advice.

Hi y’all!
I’m finishing up my pharmacology studies over the next 3 weeks and then transitioning into Med-Surg. To prepare, I went ahead and drew the body systems on my whiteboard so I can start labeling organs and understanding how everything connects.

My plan is to use my second whiteboard to write the corresponding functions, hormones, lab values, and disease processes as I study. I’ll be starting my nursing program with the 2027 cohort, and since I’m 40 years old, I know I personally benefit from giving myself a running head start and building a strong foundation beforehand.

I’m spending this year studying independently and would love to hear any advice from current students or nurses. Are there any resources, study methods, or topics you wish you had focused on before starting Med-Surg?

I’m adding bone and thyroid tomorrow. I did EMT cohort I have a solid understanding of heart, and lungs.

Thanks in advance!

Fall 2026 Professors

Hey all! I was wondering if anyone knows when professors for the fall semester are visible? I have to take BIO169 in the fall (online) but every class still says TBD. I'm brand new to CPCC so I was hoping someone might have an idea. Thanks!

Instructor changing requirements last minute with no update

I just went to submit my documents for an assignment, and barely noticed that a requirement for one of the (3) documents was changed.

My instructor made an announcement post just yesterday, confirming the same requirement that has been in place since at least the 19th of June (I have multiple pieces of evidence of this), yet on the submission form, the requirement has changed.

How is this fair? I now have to alter potentially my entire assignment, or …. Submit as is, with the requirements she gave a week ago, and … argue with her when she gives me a bad grade? Risk my grade and her saying she’s allowed to do that? Or what?

This seems entirely messed up, and is unfortunately on par with her as an instructor. What are students supposed to do? How are they supposed to succeed when instructors do things like this?

This is incredibly unfair for people who have worked hard on their assignment and may potentially miss the one tiny line where she now states a new requirement ONLY on the submission form.

What is one reasonably expected to do in this situation?
