Advice.

Hi y’all!
I’m finishing up my pharmacology studies over the next 3 weeks and then transitioning into Med-Surg. To prepare, I went ahead and drew the body systems on my whiteboard so I can start labeling organs and understanding how everything connects.

My plan is to use my second whiteboard to write the corresponding functions, hormones, lab values, and disease processes as I study. I’ll be starting my nursing program with the 2027 cohort, and since I’m 40 years old, I know I personally benefit from giving myself a running head start and building a strong foundation beforehand.

I’m spending this year studying independently and would love to hear any advice from current students or nurses. Are there any resources, study methods, or topics you wish you had focused on before starting Med-Surg?

I’m adding bone and thyroid tomorrow. I did EMT cohort I have a solid understanding of heart, and lungs.

Thanks in advance!

Chem 1 - free lab kit - Michele Nielsen Class.

Hey everyone, if anyone is taking Michele Nielsen’s CHM-151 class at CPCC and still needs the Carolina lab kit, I have one available for free. It’s completely unused. I switched chemistry professors and had to buy a different kit for my new section.

Would rather help another student than let it sit around collecting dust lol. Message me if you need it.

106 transfer credits

Hi all, I received my transfer evolution today I have 106 accepted credits, but I was blindsided by the amount of remaining credits. I have 24 residency plus core classes plus some Gen ed. I specifically did Study.com stacked with my associates degree and I still need all these additional classes. 🤯 I’m majoring in supply chain management and I am a weak writer JBH, however with these many remaining credits I think I’m going to withdraw and go back being a bum. I was planning on stating July 10th and paying out of pocket, now knowing I have so many more classes I’m thinking it’s impossible. I do not work, I was taking my BS to maximize my points for next year ADN cohort.
