Hey everyone. I did receive my FA refund last night but I’m a transfer student and don’t know how disbursements work at Easy Bay. Do they not split Pell and Cal Grant into two separate payments over the Fall semester? I spoke with Cashier Svcs to look over my account activity because I got $112 refund and $3510.50 (Pell) refund. he said the $112 was cal Grant but I got the full award of $824 so just not sure where these numbers are coming from.

Anyone else going through the same thing? Haven’t even tried contacting FA office because im sure they’re busy.

I'm a grad student and well below the aid limit (despite having the Aggr. Reaffirm Dbt thing on myCompass) but I noticed since yesterday that when I check on my financial aid, it shows:

"You have no financial aid awards for viewing in this aid year"

My previous years are showing up, and in the finances tab in myCompass, it shows my pending aid, but there has been no actual activity otherwise. It's been about 24 hours exactly since I first noticed, and I thought it was just my aid finally processing but nothing has changed. Is anyone else having the same situation?

I checked my account, and payments have been applied to the balance, but I don't see any refunds. It says I have no outstanding balance. This is my first semester at CSUEB, so what happens next?

Will the refund post?

Loan FA for the amount owed was applied to my account today but not my refund. Has anyone else had this happen?

Hey is it just me or is the website down / crashing? Like I keep getting a 504 gateway time out and Im not really sure what that means.

I bank with Wells Fargo and just received my refund. I am short so I will be calling tomorrow to figure it out.

Has anyone received their refund for federal unsubsidized loan? My balance was set to zero and in the “payment breakdown” tab on MyCSUEB, it shows the amount that is supposed to be refunded. Is this similar for anyone?

So like is anyone having trouble logging into anything rn. Canvas, the school website etc? It keeps giving me “Login Failure: Pool is empty and connection creation failed”. And it just shows an error code when I open the school website.

They finally processed my refund, but I’m short almost 4k. So annoying, I’d check yours out if it’s correct. I’m going to have to call once they open.

I have the email from the director of aid who previously helped out my wife with an issue at CSUEB. She responded to me today why my wife had a grant hold, but her grant was disbursed and refunded, but her loans weren’t. Her email stated specifically that those should be processed this week. I assumed (since I am teacher and did college long ago) that they were making sure people don’t drop after refunds are sent. My wife called prior to me receiving an email and a rep told her something similar. We have two kids in college as well (Santa Cruz and Northridge) and I encourage you to be patient. I know it sucks. Hang in there y’all.

I was just sitting in the library solely eating grapes and some guy comes up and says he likes my nose piercing and asks if it hurt. I said “yeah” and he said “oh but not as much as a belly piercing huh”. I said it actually hurt more and he was like “oh my girlfriend got her belly pierced and she wants to change it to a dangly one but has to wait 4 months”. He asked if I changed mine and I said no. This whole time he kept glancing away, wouldn’t keep eye contact and his body wasn’t even facing me while I was sitting down. I kept eating my grapes and then he asks to see my belly piercing and I’m like.. what? He repeats it and so I furrowed my brows and was like…no. He says “okay” and quickly leaves.
Looking back at it, it seems like he targeted me because of my tattoos and septum piercing especially because he literally made a beeline towards me. It also sounds like he made up the story of his girlfriend to try to fish out more information about my belly piercing. Apparently this is a type of fetish. Super weird! Beware!! Don’t feed into his fetish!

Has anyone taken his class? I've read his instructions and watched his videos for module 1, but I'm still confused about how he wants us to do the assignments..

The assignments just has a sentence and tells us to write it??

Can we use this post today to compare what everyone is being told about financial aid?

If you speak with someone through Pioneer Station, get a text back from an advisor, reach someone by phone/email, or find out anything about disbursement dates, post what you were told and around what time.

The purpose is so we can compare what everyone is being told. Last week, we received generic emails with no meaningful help, also the pioneer department wasn’t texting back.

Also, if your fees were collected and your balance dropped to $0, or if loans are being disbursed separately from grants?

I have a feeling some of the student advisors may be giving different answers.m, and we’re not speaking to employees.

If we start seeing that multiple students are being impacted or getting conflicting information, then we’ll have something concrete to bring to Student Services, the appropriate dean, and the Office of the President instead of everyone dealing with it individually.

It’s better to be proactive now incase any professors don’t understand the circumstances we’re facing.

How do I know when my disbursement date will be?

Has anyone been trying to text or call the financial aid office??? It says I had a balance due yesterday but now it’s gone today? My deposit hasn’t hit at all… I need to buy my permit and the school items.. 195$ a semester to park makes me sick to my stomach

As for those with a to-do list like 26/27 Aggr, exceed dbt. notice, they may need to run students' loan history and will let you know if anything else is needed. Per the Student Financial Aid Advisor, it may take a couple of weeks, per the Operations Manager of Financial Aid-

Nevertheless, I was told “the money is moving out, slowly like a river “so I’m sure people are seeing grants and loans applied for those who haven't gotten a to-do list, but if anyone has gotten something on the to-do list, like the 26/27 Aggr. exceed debt notice and has had or seen their loans applied to their account.
