If you are thinking about buying a PC from this company, do not. I bought a pre-built PC from them back in May, and it turns off randomly when playing random games. I sent it for warranty service, and this problem has only worsened since my PC came back. . My PC turned off a day and a half ago and has not turned on since. Customer support takes forever to respond to me as well. Extremely disappointing.

Prebuild pc recommend #cpgeneral

Thinking about purchasing this prebuild PC from Cyberpower. Is there any better PCs for money potentially, if not, is there any recommendations on what to check for on arrival or any better parts to change? Thank you

How to turn mouse LED lights off #cpsupport

This is my mouse model. Ive tried cycling through the rgb presets. No off option. Ive held many different buttons and combinations of buttons down for several seconds. Never turns them off. No rgb customization software registers the device. Im at a loss. I hate these lights, they are incredibly bright and distracting. I dont know what to do to turn them off. Help would be greatly appreciated

My rgb lights changed randomly and I have no idea how to fix them #cpsupport

I have had a second hand cyberpower pc for years now, I don’t even know what model the case is or whatever (I’m quite tech illiterate so please be nice to me) and the rgb fans on my pc have been a solid green that entire time. Today i turned it on and you’d think there was a carnival ride in my room, it seems to be jumping through every possible lighting setting or something switching through solid colours and flashy rainbow lights. It’s incredibly straining on my eyes and I have no idea how to even word my explanation, let alone do anything about it. I found some instructions on this subreddit on how to I think wire up the rgb controls to my restart button on the top of my case, but had to give up immediately after finding out my motherboard does not have JARGB headers (I don’t even know what those do).

If anyone has any advice or explanation at all please please help. My motherboard is an MSI A520M-A Pro if that helps and if I should give any other specs please let me know

Equally if there’s a way to just disable the rgb lighting entirely I wouldn’t mind that at all.

Looking to upgrade #cpgeneral

CyberPowerPC - Gaming Desktop - AMD Ryzen 7 8700F - AMD Radeon RX 7600 8GB - 16GB DDR5 - 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD - White is what I purchased. what are some viable upgrades? i've added a 2tb ssd but nothing else. Upgrading to 32gb ram seems sensical, would upgrading the gpu also be logical? maybe to something with 16gb?

Finally pulled the trigger on my first PC, building was the plan but I found a great deal that I couldn't pass on. Any tips or advice would be very appreciated! #cpgeneral

What do you think of this gaming build? #cpgeneral

I'm fiddling around with the customisation options for a gaming pc on the website with purpose of being quiet, fast, powerful, and efficient.

This should be perfect for 1440p at minimum, just wanted to know your personal thoughts on it. 😁

#cpsupport Need help reinstalling windows (missing drivers, B550AM Gaming)

So, I have my nephew's PC and I'm trying to reinstall Windows 11 (drives are wiped already) but the installer is doing the whole "install drivers to see devices" shtick.

I've never run into this issue before, and I'm assuming that it's because this mobo was made specifically for CyberPowerPC?

Setup:

  • MoBo: B550AM Gaming
  • BIOS version: B550AMG_10.43A (From THIS Reddit post)
  • Drive-1: WDS500G2B0C-00PXH0 (NVMe drive, install target)
  • Drive-2: wd10ezex-75wn4a1 (Sata HDD)

Steps I've taken:

  • I've downloaded drivers from CyberPowerPC's official B550AM Gaming driver repo but the chipset drivers are an executable, so doesn't help.
  • Trying to install the other components drivers didn't help either. (most of them are flagged incompatible and/or error out on install anyways)
  • I tried the Windows Media Creation tool for Win 11
    • instead of the Fedora Media Writer, with an official ISO
  • I switched to the Win10 installer (I've read some people had luck with that)
    • Made with the Fedora Media Writer and official ISO
  • I've downloaded the (Win10) drivers from AMD's b550 drivers repo.

Thoughts and Questions:

  • Has anyone with this board reinstalled windows successfully?
    • What Drivers did you install?
  • Does CyberPower have an OEM windows installer that I'm missing?
    • Can I have it?
  • At this point, I'm thinking about just taking the drive out of this machine and installing windows on it in my PC and swapping it out, but that's likely to invalidate the install. (right?)
  • Had a bazzite boot disk laying around and stuck it in, it reported no issues, just saying. (get it together microsoft)
  • Also, the CyberPower reinstall Windows Article mentions Optane, but the MOBO Manual makes no mention of Optane, and has no Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology from what I can see.

EDIT to add:

  • NVMe Raid is Disabled
  • CSM is Disabled
  • Secure Boot is Enabled
  • `diskpart` does see the drive
    • From the command line in the Win10 installer
  • Bios sees the drive
  • wmic lists the drive as fixed

AIO Cooling unit doesn’t work on brand new computer, just overheats & shuts off. #cpsupport

Just got one of these off of Amazon and right out of the box it has a critical failing component. I wanted to check here as a last resort before returning it. Out of the box the liquid cooling unit does not properly function. The fans turn on, but nothing is cooling the CPU. Within minutes of turning on the PC it overheats and shuts itself off. I went into the BIOS and can confirm. From the moment it starts up it goes up a degree per second until it hits around 95c-105c and just turns off. This thing is brand new. I’ve tried every connection point, every little possible thing. I tried calling support and received shoulders, the guy sounded like he barely knew how the computer worked and just told me there was nothing that could be done besides sending it in for them to fix or returning on Amazon. I’m livid and just trying to find a different solution. Has anyone else encountered this? I can provide any and all information and will be monitoring this post. I guess I’m just trying to exhaust all options before I pack this thing up and send it back.

Ordered a custom build & don’t believe I got my power supply. #cpsupport

My build just arrived today & I was supposed to have 1300W XPG Cybercore II and it’s nowhere to be found. I’m new to this so maybe I just don’t know where it is or what but can someone guide me on this? Is it inside of the build and I just connect the power cable or? Sorry if this is a noob topic.

#cpsupport WiFi takes about 45 seconds to appear/connect

Model: CyberPowerPC Gamer Supreme Gaming Desktop, AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16GB, 32GB DDR5, 2TB SSD, Black, SLC7700WST

Hey group, so I’ve been having issues with my PC since I got it.

Anytime I boot up my PC, it takes about 45 seconds for the wifi to connect/appear

Mine came with the ASUS Prime B850-Plus WIFI and it won’t do it if I have it check for fast startup.

Any ideas? Already updated the BIOS, driver, and settings for power management. Any thoughts? Thanks!

More fun with CyberPowerPC Support - #cpsupport

I need to return my system because the CPU fans are running way too fast/loud and I can't figure out where the issue is. I know the system shouldn't run like that because I got a 2nd, basically identical system from them at the same time and it runs properly. After lots of troubleshooting, I called in on Friday and was told that they would generate a return shipping label for me since I'd gotten the upgraded support. Since it was the end of the day on Friday, the label wouldn't be generated until Monday morning but would only take an hour or two on Monday. Sigh. Okay.

I called in to check on the status of the label and got a rude tech who said it would be 1 - 3 business days to get the label via email so I could ship the system back in.

Me: "Why is it up to 3 business days to get a label emailed out?"

Tech: "I didn't say up to 3 business days. I said 1 - 3 business days."

Me: "Which means it could take up to 3 business days."

Tech: "That's not what I said. I said 1 - 3 business days."

Me (after giving up on trying to figure out how I'm wrong about 'up to 3 business days'): "But that's not what that last tech said. He said I'd get the label on Monday morning. I'm getting different answers from different techs."

Tech: "That's understandable."

NO IT'S NOT!

Even troubleshooting the fan issue last week, I got very different answers from different techs, everything from "You're right, this isn't normal" to "Well, it doesn't say your system should run quietly ..." to "Well, every chasis case but yours is set up with variable fan speed, but it's procedure to NOT set it up on the one you selected."

There is a head-shaped dent in my desk at this point.

Problems with fans - CyberPowerPC MA-01R ATX Mid Tower - #cpsupport

Whew. Until this point, I've been happy with computers I've bought from CyberPowerPC. This last purchase has been "fun".

I bought two PCs, exact same configuration, except one had a video capture card. One boots up and the CPU fans stay maxed at 1800rpm the entire time the PC runs. The other boots up, the fans go to around 1000rpm then spin down as needed (e.g. the computer is idling). The computers are in the same house, so same room temp, humidity, etc.

We do a lot of troubleshooting, check all the BIOS settings, try different settings, check power settings in Windows, etc. and call tech support. The first tech (very polite and knowledgeable) agrees that it shouldn't do that and says it sounds like the CPU fans aren't connected to the motherboard then sends me a video on how to install a fan.

We troubleshoot the wiring as best we can. We find a few differences in the wiring between the two computers but the CPU fans do appear to be hooked up to the motherboard. We can't tell if the differences in wiring matter, especially since it could be due to the video capture card. I call back and talk to another tech (who was rude and kept cutting me off) who said that fans should be running at 1800rpm all the time no matter the temperature, BIOS settings, CPU usage, etc. If I want to RMA it, it'll take about 14-20 business days for them to look at it. Oh, he can see if the company will pay for the RMA postage since I'd had the system for only a few days and obviously there will be no rush in fixing it or shipping it back, so I'll be without the computer for over a month.

I escalate the call because I paid extra to have them rush the original order to me and the computer should not have passed QC because it's incredibly loud. (It literally scares our pets when it runs.) I tell the new tech that the wiring looks right as best I can tell. That tech tells me, among other things, that I should have my husband check the wiring. He doesn't understand why I'm upset at the suggestion that I'm not good to troubleshoot my computer and need a man to check my work. (I've built PCs before, my husband hasn't.) They won't even refund the premium I paid to rush the faulty computer (even though they didn't even get it sent out within the promised 3 day window). The guy is like, "Yeah, you're SoL and that's just how it is." (Not direct quote, but could have been given his attitude.)

Looking at my options, I realize it's far, far faster to return the computer and just order a new one, and about the same price. I call back and get the refund process started. I ask the tech about the fans and he tells me, "Yeah, on that one particular case, and only that one case, the procedure is to wire the fans directly to the power supply instead of the motherboard." Except, both these computers seem to have the fans wired to the motherboard, it's just that one isn't working properly. He tells me that if I buy another system from them, to ask in the notes that they wire it to the motherboard so the BIOS can properly control the fan speed and hopefully they'll do it.

Again, I've never had a problem with them before, but I don't know if I have the confidence to order (re-order) my system from them. I think I had 3 aneurysms by the end of the calls.

Where to find similar Fans#cpsupport

#cpsupport Hey guys, I have this model for pre-2020, and the fans finally gave out, but I'm struggling to find replacement Fans with similar Casing that holds the 4pins together to connect to this model. I know it's a very old one, but it's runwell besides the fans itself. Are these types of fans that use this casing available anywhere, or do I have to take apart my PC and put in new 4pi s myself if possible? Any help is appreciated.

#cpsupport Wifi antenna upgrade

Just bought a new cyberware PC and my upload and download speed are nothing compared to my old 7 year PC. I was getting between 80-120Mbs on my old PC and now I’m getting 15-30 with her new one. Any recommendations for a better antenna, also the PCs are still right next to each other and still have the same difference

PC won't start - just a quick flash of the cooler light and fans spin once

  • Cyberpower PC Gamer Supreme Gaming Desktop - AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 - 1TB SSD - GIGABYTE B450M DS3H WIFI MICRO ATX motherboard

I just tried to replace one of my two monitors. The new monitor was not detected. I restarted PC and it booted fine but new monitor was not detected. I shut down PC, and now I can't get it to turn back on. The cooler light flashes and the fans start to spin but instantly stop. I have unplugged all the peripherals. I unplugged the GPU.

Here is a video:

https://imgur.com/a/VYmRABk

I saw a post with similar symptoms and they ended up replacing the CPU. I've never done that. Can someone give me some ideas of a CPU to use, etc.? I'm starting to wonder if I'll just have to buy a new machine since I'm not experienced with replacing components. (I did replace the CPU cooler a couple years ago, and that was very stressful)

No enhanced packaging option from Walmart #cporders

Recently ordered a cyberpowerpc from Walmart, but I see online it says there should usually be an option for better packaging. I didn’t see it when shopping/checking out, does anyone know if Walmart happens to add it automatically?
