Help Me Save My Caladium Bicolor

Hello everyone! This is my first plant, and I just want her to be happy 😔 I live in southern Florida and keep her on my east facing porch. Originally, I had her in a hanging planter, but I messed up and didn’t thoroughly water her when repotting, so the next morning, she was drooping. She perked back up a little bit and I left her alone for about a week until I noticed some sun scorching on the leaves so I moved her farther back into the porch…this is when I discovered I had absolutely drowned my poor caladium in soil. It was so densely packed and wet that the bottom of the pot was essentially mud. Also it seemed to be way too much pot compared to root so I decided to repot her into this 7inch ceramic planter using a mix of potting soil, orchid bark, and perlite with an entire layer of perlite at the base of the pot. She has a new leaf growing so I know that’s a good sign but am I at the point where I cut all the floppy leaves off? Please help me any advice at all is appreciated I’m a noob.

edit: caption on last photo shouldn’t be there, same day as one before it just a different angle

First time caladium parent!

Just got my first caladium a few days ago, and this is him after a few days of settling in :) (I was rather rough with the repotting) and I'm happy with how he looks, just here to ask for any beginner advice and possibly an ID on him.

Drooping after a week

My friend owns a nursery. I usually get an assortment of flowers for pots around my patio. I picked this caladium because I thought it was neat!

2 weeks in, all the leaves dropped over the course of six hours.

Temperature was high 70s at the time, 60 the previous night. Full sun, its location gets sun for about 1 hour around noon. Haven’t been watered much other than rain 2 days ago, and soil still feels wet.

What do I do? They’re in the garage right now due to severe storms/hail possibility.

First Caladium

Purchased a Caladium today on a whim. I had never heard of this plant until today. I fell in love with the colors and texture. I joined this community to learn and expand my plant knowledge. Thanks for having me 😊

Caladium Help!

I purchased this caladium about two weeks ago and can’t seem to find a good place that she likes. Right now she’s in an east facing window - i had her in non-direct light the first week and she drooped so quickly.

i keep the soil moist/not completely watered down but i just need some more tips - i feel guilty for letting her get like this already 😭

Is this too much sun / overwatering / something else?

I’ve had this caladium for close to a couple months now, and a few of the leaves have some yellow/brown spots. The one that I picked off is the only one that I’ve seen that looks that bad, and it felt dry/crumbly.

The plant gets some afternoon sun for a few hours, but it’s shaded for most of the time. I also water it 1-2 times a week.

I’m just not sure what the problem is but she’s so beautiful I don’t want her to die or get worse.. does anyone know what the issue looks like it would be?

Also, should I cut off the leaves with the spots on them?

One of my caladiums has "lost" three leaves.

Caladium Lindenii has some guests

I've had this for a few months and it's been doing great, has grown 2 new leaves with one more just starting. But now it's got a little somethin somethin going on. So I'm thinking it's whiteflies but I'm not sure. Any guesses? And advice?

Should I?

I bought this beauty almost 2 weeks ago. I think there are at least 2 plants here but I’m no expert, so I’m not sure… there are at least 2 new leaves coming out right now but I feel like it’s a little crowded in here, so I’m wondering if I should maybe separate and repot?

Looking forward to your knowledge good people of Reddit!

Ps last picture is a “damaged” leaf that worries me, I’m checking for pests but haven’t found any at the moment

My caladiums

I decided to garden this year and stopped at a greenhouse last month where I found my first caladium. It was love at first sight. She even had a flower waiting to bloom. First picture is right after the repot, second is today. Then last week my sister and I went to Lowe's for a mother's Day gift and I stumbled upon my second caladium, third picture, and brought her home too. She's working on 3 new leaves as we speak. I'll be spending the rest of my life trying to collect them all like Pokemon. They are my favorites out of all the plants I've collected thus far.
