I was thinking of taking admission in kolkata in colleges under calcutta university but all the major colleges finished their admission registration so early like in may . So are there any good colleges in kolkata where registration is still open?please tell me 🙏😭

So I wasn't really confident if I would get a good enough rank for engg so I decided to just go for a BSc degree through WBCAP. Now after that, when I got the WBJEE rank, it wasn't that good but enough for a mid-low tier govt engg college (gmr approx 7500). Now I want to cancel my admission in the college i am currently in (College is under CU). I havent paid fees yet, just paid the admission fee and did the physical verification. Im not even concerned abt getting a refund tbh.
What are the necessary prodcedures for the cancellation of admission? Can i just not go to college and my admission would be cancelled automatically?

So I opted for Psychology majors and got alloted in Women's College, Calcutta. Went for my physical verification and all and tomorrow is the first day of college. Now, I didn't know that my minors would decide if I'm gonna get a BA or BSC degree and went for Sociology and Education as my minors combination. But now I want to change em cuz I need a BSC degree. So my question is, if I request the college to change it, will they do so? Any insights would be really helpful. Edit- I was in science stream previously (my dumbass didn't even realize this might happen😭). And you might ask, "Why not ask them on the verification day?" Gng- The teacher incharge for the offline verification and the official staff incharge for the online verification were so fucking rude I didn't have the nerves to ask them😭

I'm a class 12 cbse pcb student and im aiming for BSc LS in presidency next year under UR category. As someone with a strong base in biology, an above average in chemistry and a weak student in physics (barely passing). How can I prepare for the exam? I will be honest, I haven't been giving my 100% to p and c and ik I can do better in both but I feel like I don't have enough time to prepare for boards and pubdet and cuet altogether. I mean, I have to cover class 11 syllabus as well and I saw in the pyq papers that many questions are not from ncert for bio. Any book suggestions that I can use?

Is it possible to get history in asutosh in mop up by index 406. I'm seeing many ppl moved to higher preference in alloted lists... And also my rank in socio is 358.. is anything possible?

Why are the people with 470-480 merit indexes in mop up?? Did y'all not get in during phase 1?

Hi everyone,

I was going through the WBJEE 2026 choice filling portal and noticed that University of Calcutta is not available in the list of colleges.

According to last year's WBJEE cutoffs, the University of Calcutta had admissions under the WBJEE quota. However, I can't find the college or the branch in this year's choice filling portal.

Is anyone else facing the same issue?

• Has the University of Calcutta withdrawn from WBJEE counselling this year?
• Could this be a temporary portal issue that might get updated later?

I don't know about others but for me, this morning was really weird. Today, I have logged into my account to pay for the semester fees but idk why but they increased their fees by like 10k for *1st installment of Sem3* without any prior notice. There is no such detail about the fees structure on their website...

Even in their admission portal they have mentioned that the fees will rise on a yearly basis by **10%** to counter the inflation and various development costs but i think even a student who is weak in maths can assume that such drastic change in fees is not clearly 10%.

Ik that our seniors and other students with much better background have no problem accepting such situations but for a student who is from a below middle class family, it is really difficult for them to accept such unnoticed changes.
