I am fed-up with hopping colleges every other day. I didn't even want to do B.Com in the first place but alas fate got my ahh!
So after hopping colleges 2 times and losing all hope from CU, I decided not to participate in this rat race anymore.
Hi I am about to register for the next Semester. I tried watching some of the lectures on YouTube but found really boring and can't focus much. Is there any alternative to them?
My college doesn't have a Swayam Local Chapter and they also don't have a proper approved Swayam Courses list. I asked Gemini, according to it I might have to consult my HOD in this regard.
But like I haven't seen my HOD in college yet and my college also don't provide us with any form of contact channel with the professors.
If anybody successfully claimed a credit exemption through Swayam Courses would love to know your experience along with the reason behind the decision. And would you recommend doing this?
I have taken provisional admission there. I was curious if they are strict with attendance or laid back, like will 50% attendance be fine?
So I took admission to a college in Phrase 1 and they stamped my 12th Marksheet. Now I have been allotted a college from my higher preference. So when I go to that college for verification will they allow it without cancelled stamp over that previous one?
Apart from SXC, BESC, SCC and JDBI what college would you guys choose if you're not allotted Goenka?
Guys I have been allotted Heramba Chendra College for B.Com(H) in the very first round and it has not been upgraded till this last round. But in the Upgrade of Mop-up I am alloted Jaipuria(Day). Now I'm a lil confused because-
I live in Bally so obviously SAJC is closer. But they have 6 days a week college (which is normal).
Even though it's far from my home, they only take 3 days a week class and they don't put off-periods in between.
So can you vote should I stay where I am or should I upgrade, and also share your thoughts in the comments?-
*Also heard SAJC is kinda stricter with Attendance and also lemme know the vibes of the Professors. From what I have seen goin to HCC for 2 days, the professors are more or less chill.
I am pursuing B.Com(H) and have been admitted to Heramba Chendra College. Jaipuria(Day) was in my upper preference and I have a high chance to get a seat there as I am just behind 6 people in the waiting list.
Going to HCC I have realised that they are not that strict about their attendance and even if they are, they only conduct class for each section only 3 days a week, I really don't think other colleges offer such facility. And about B.Com I only went with it as it's the only cheaper option that was going with my commerce background (well this is irrelevant info here ig).
I know there is no such thing as college life under CU but still will Jaipuria be better in terms of college life and are they any strict with attendance?
As the title suggests, I would like to participate as I can't see a person that has done this much for our national die.
Can someone please tell me what it means?
I had been allotted my 3 preferred college, I did apply for Upgrading but not been upgraded.
So I finally took admission there. I even went there today and attended the classes.
Does this notification mean if the seats at my upper preferred colleges get empty I will be upgraded now?
I will be graduating from class XII under the WBCHSE board (Result is yet to come). I am a little confused about what to do next. But as I have an interest in computers and I have taken Commerce with Computer Application in my Higher Secondary, I am planning to pursue BCA. So as obvious I have to take admission to a Private college taking an education loan. But I'm not sure which college to choose, I've just visited an Admission Fair and it made me even more confused. All the colleges there gave me a rough estimate of the total fees so I am expecting the total fees to be around 4.5-6L. I tried to look for the syllabus, fees structure and other stuff through the college websites. But all their websites feel super ancient and most other 3rd party websites do not have relevant and up to date data:
Tl;dr here are the questions I am looking to be answered:
What are the colleges that I should consider for BCA?
Is there any website that I could use to compare the colleges?
Should I do it under MAKAUT or other Private Universities?
(And I have come to realise that the placement scene is somewhat similar throughout the colleges so not looking for a crazy placement promise. Just looking for supportive student bodies for Hackathons and all along with internship opportunities from the college.)
