Well, just like last year, we are running a HUGE pop-up arcade at the Calgary Stampede. Except THIS year, it’s bigger and better!! We have over 100 arcade games and over 80 pinball games. There are EM Gottlieb pinballs from 1976 all the way up to brand new Stern selections like Pokemon ready to play!! We also have a MASSIVE selection of arcade machines (cocktails and uprights) from 1978 - Space Invaders all the way up to 90s classics like House of the Dead, Gauntlet Legends and Daytona USA 2. We also gave Golden Tee Fore! Complete from 2006. We’re super pumped about our 90s corner which includes Killer Instinct, Tekken Tag Tournament, Street Fighter Alpha 3, NBA Jam to name a few! We also have Konami classics like X-Men, Simpsons, TMNT, TMNT 2: Turtles in Time, Sunset Riders. We have 80s classics like Pac Man, Galaga, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr, Berzerk, Gauntlet, and a super cool selection of vectors like Asteroids, Star Castle, Space Duel, Black Widow, Tempest AND Star Wars!! We’re also incredibly stoked to have a Cinematronics DRAGON’S LAIR, which is probably the coolest game here!!! We’re located in the lower level of the Big Four building. Come check out what is one of the biggest arcade events in Canada while you’re here!!

CNR is hosting a beach day on Saturday, July 04, 2026, 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM

This is a no cost event and open to everyone.

This Stampede season we’re heading out for a relaxed riverside social at one of Alberta’s little beach spots. Think summer freedom, great conversation, music, swimming, tanning, snacks, and a laid-back body-positive atmosphere.

Riverside hangout

• Cowboy hats encouraged
• Boots optional (but probably too hot anyway)

Good company, respect, nature, and a fun summer afternoon away from the city.

Hey Canmore!

Just wanted to share that AMPfest is returning to artsPlace on Saturday, July 25.

If you haven't been before, it's an all-ages, one-day festival celebrating Alberta's alternative, punk, and heavy music scenes. Doors open at 12:30 PM, and the music runs until midnight.

I'm James, the vocalist of Beyond Suffering. We'll will be playing as part of a lineup that includes everything from Banff skate punk (Jonny Rocketman's Atomic Tango) to Mînî Thnî thrash (Soggy Moccasins).

If you're looking for some live local music this summer and want to support Alberta artists, it will be a great day.

Hi folks! If you're looking for something to do this Saturday, Calgary Parrot Club is running a fundraiser to help rescue birds in need. If you have your own pet birds already, Parrot Trends will be there with unique bird toys and accessories up for sale. This is a free, family friendly event where you can purchase lunch and all proceeds will go to expenses needed for rescue birds. Please come by to say hi, we will be there rain or shine!
