Curious about something

Any of you that are members of this particular subreddit, do any of you actually work for a fiber Internet company and install the brand of ONT for a living to consumers? I have a question about my actual connection quality. I’m in a small town in Missouri with a very rural fiber ISP. It’s called Co-Mo Connect. I just had a service technician come to my house today to address some of the issues I’ve been having. He ended up not only installing brand new fiber into my home, but he also connected it to a brand new different model ONT that I have been using. Same brand just a different model. I had the Calix GigaPoint 803G. I now am using the Calix GigaPoint GP1100G. Still having very odd behavior but it seems to be only affecting Apple products. I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max and an Apple TV 4K wired. Upload speeds are low while download is fine.

Mesh Extender Calix

We recently moved to a new home and opted for TMobile 2Gbps connection. They provided G7 10GE GS5239E router and u72038m mesh extender. Now we want to add couple of more mesh extender to cover some of the dead spots in the upstairs. Where do I get u72038m? Any other mesh that can support 2Gbps.

Has anyone used the MDU product? We are considering switching from Plume

Hi - not sure if there are any ISPs on here, but thought I would give it a go. We are an ISP based in the south east and have been happy despite the many challenges their org has faced.

We have a few thousand units on the Plume MDU product (Uprise), but it seems like the support has become dead and their rockstar MDU product leader we grew with now has an email that bounces. We read this as they are no longer investing in the product which is a problem for our 5+ year bulk contracts.

Have any of you made the switch from Plume to Calix MDU? How painful was it? How is the product overall compared to Uprise?

Wyyred fiber and adding a 2nd router

I have Wyyred Fiber 300/300. The Wyyred ONT connects to their router — a Calix GigaSpire BLAST u6.2 (model GS4227E). The router is located at one end of my house, and the Wi‑Fi signal is weak on the opposite side.

When I called Wyyred, they weren’t helpful and just told me to rent their extenders for a monthly fee.

I read somewhere (forgot) that I could add a second GS4227E to help extend coverage and share the network load. I’m trying to figure out the correct way to connect two of these routers, and what settings need to be changed on the second one. Supposedly these Calix routers work together, unsure if it's bridge mode or something else?
