Found my first ever proof coin roll hunting today.

A few years too early for silver unfortunately.

Found this fun little souvenir helping my uncle clean out his junk drawer. He said I could have it, but the question is do I leave it in the plastic or find a way to jimmy it open and preserve it properly?

Also so happy we called it a Toonie.

I am trying to figure out if they are Canadian or German Planchet? The outside is magnetic. The center ignores the magnet.

I plan to just keep them as a part of history.

Wondering... if I freeze them, and heat the outside, and hit it with a hammer, can I get them to come apart? haha

The Canadian mint fixed it quickly.

I think it would be cool if each part was $1. So you pop out the inside and use it as a dollar, but if you have both the ring and inside, you put it together and you have $2 again.

Did some roll hunting for the first time today. Found these two beauties from $50 in dimes.

Also found an entire roll of 73 small bust quarters, and a 2 rolls of miscellaneous commemorative quarters.
