I thought coming across one of these in circulation was quite rare. Now I have 2!

In 2000, they only made the KNOWLEDGE coin for circulation. The standard polar bear version only came in uncirculated collector sets with 187,000 made. Both of mine have a "w" mint mark to the right of the Queens neck, signifying that they were minted in Winnipeg for collector sets only. Cool finds roll hunting.

CRH finds today

Picked up my regular 10 rolls of quarters/dimes today and had some great luck. The nice girl at the bank was on vault duty and got me 3 mixed park Canada rolls. Seems to be one of each. Also got a couple silver dimes breaking a dry streak.

NL dime follow-up

Following my last post, here's a side by side comparison of the 1946 dime found buried in wet sand vs a 1943 from my collection.

Also, bonus for NL coins enthusiasts, my 1894 20 cents.

What is this cougar Canadian coin?

🇨🇦 Partner has a huge change jar. After the storage shelves fell we decided to go through them. Neither of us recall the cougar quarter (pictured)...we also have a $0.50 coin from 1988. And another quarter w/ the Stanley Cup! Neither of us recall any of these coins but the cougar most of all. We're in BC. Thanks y'all.

08' Lest We Forget

Another burly boy. 35mm, 12.61g.

25k minted

These large quarter varieties turn up everywhere I go.

Comparison in photos. Enjoy the day.

Anyone think these were cleaned? I'm looking at the fields and not sure about condition

These were hard to take photos of because they're framed in a glass frame. I love the toning on them and it's hard to capture in photos but it's blue and purple. The details look sharp and I like the look of them. But I'm not sure if they were cleaned in the past or not. A family member bought a commemorative frame loaded with coins in 2001 or so and they've been sitting in there for about 25 years.

Coin Roll Hunting

Went to the bank to deposit $100 in pocket change I’ve accumulated over the last few weeks and grabbed $20 in quarter rolls to have a little fun roll hunting when I got home.
Pulled 8 keepers! Nothing crazy, but I’m happy to add 8 new quarters to the collection! Always enjoy the hunt!
