Canadian 50 cents 1934

The 1930's saw some of the lowest mintages of Canadian half dollars and 1934 was no exception with less than 40,000 coins minted. Compare that with 1940 with almost 2 million coins minted. These were part of the 1920-1936 series of 50 cent coins that featured King George V on the obverse and had the same reverse as the pre 1920 half dollars but were struck in .800 fineness silver as opposed to .925 fineness. The obverse features the Latin inscription "DEI GRA : REX ET IND : IMP" which is an abbreviation and translates to "By the grace of God, King and emperor of India".

P1907 bayonet manufactured by Wilkinson in 1918 and accepted by the Canadian army.

These were mounted on SMLE No.1 Mk III rifles and were used during WW1, the interwar period, and WW2 and were among the last of the "sword bayonets". This particular model was manufactured by Wilkinson in 1918 in Britain and the C-broad arrow marked on the pommel showing it was accepted for use by the Canadian army. The frog is also C-broad arrow marked.
