At what income level did you stop doing your own taxes?
I've always filed my own taxes, but I'm starting to wonder if there comes a point where it makes more sense to hire a professional.
For those who switched from DIY filing to an accountant or tax professional, what was the tipping point? Was it a certain income level, owning a business, investments, rental properties, or something else?
Looking back, do you think you made the switch too early, too late, or at the right time?
I'm curious whether most people eventually outgrow DIY tax software or if the majority continue filing their own taxes indefinitely.
